SoapBox Soaps: Vanilla Liquid Hand Soap Review

SoapBox Soaps: Vanilla Liquid Hand Soap Review + Giveaway

soapbox-vanilla-hand-soapAs we head into the fall months I have noticed the smell of cinnamon and vanilla are filling my senses.

When I think of vanilla the first thing that pops in my head are cookies and other baked goods. I had never really been a fan of scented soaps until I hit my late teens. Since then I have become a huge fan of scented soaps, and look forward to new scents and varieties entering my life.

Since the one of the smells of the season is Vanilla it seems more than appropriate that SoapBox Soaps has released a new liquid soap.

Naturtint Colorant: Combining Colors Review

Naturtint Colorant: Combining Two Colors Review + Giveaway

naturtint-colors-swatchWhen you reach a certain age, change becomes not only harder but can be nearly impossible. The one change that can be made easily, and still make an impact is to ones hair. I used to color my hair for a change, and now I am coloring it to hide the grey that is slowly taking over in portions to large to ignore.

When I was young I was blessed with a very light-colored blond that could only be described as a bleach blond. As I aged my hair darkened into a more sandy blond, which remained through out my early teens, when I discovered the wonder of hair coloring.

I began taking my blond into the brown family, and then I went drastic – I went magenta! I made a deal with my father that I would not veer far off blond until after my senior photo. Shortly there-after the red shades were introduced to my hair, and I stayed red until my late 20’s. When I was in my 30’s I decided to go back to basics and go back to blond. I stripped my hair, and went back to blond.

Since then, to combat the emerging grey, I stick to colors close to the original coloring’s. I have been noticing the emergence of this grey, and it’s attempted take over of my head. Last year I reviewed Naturtint, which is a plant-based hair coloring company that is family owned!

Epsom Salt Rainbow DIY

Epsom Salt Rainbow DIY + Giveaway!!!!

epsom-salt-rainbowThere are few items as versatile as Epsom Salt.

Epsom Salt is a magnesium sulfate that is in an inorganic, which means that it does not consist of or derives from living matter or that are not organic. This is a salt that contains magnesium sulfur and oxygen. While it sounds complicated, really what you have is a versatile salt that can not be eaten but can be used on your body, beauty products and even stubborn dishes.

The largest issue that we have is stubborn dishes, the food gets caked on and making the clean up near impossible. Since Epsom Salt when used before you scrub your dishes, makes the clean up a little easier, I wanted a pleasing yet functional way to store my salt near the sink. After some contemplation, I decided on making a Rainbow of Epsom Salt.

Good Earth Beauty: Element Minerals Face Paint Review

Element Minerals: Face Paint – Angel Fairy Princess Review and Giveaway

angel-fairy-princessIf we want to admit or not Fall is approaching. The first thing I think of when I think of fall, is I think of the colors orange and pumpkins.

The next thing is consider the upcoming holidays – the first that kicks off the fall season is Halloween.

When I was a young girl I loved Halloween. Since I was a talkative kid, I would knock on doors and naturally get into conversations with the adults. Long after my friends were home evaluating their haul, I was still chatting it up with the adults on my block. Each year I would dress up, but I would more 1/2 dress up and leave it to friends to guess what i was attempting to achieve.

Since that day of disguise is quickly approaching when I was sent a Good Earth Beauty’s Element Minerals Face Paint in Angel Fairy Princess Kit I suddenly realized a bunch of ways I could have punched my costume up a notch.

Reviv3 Procare Review

Reviv3 Procare – 3 Part System Review and Giveaway

Reviv3 Hair CareWhen I was a teenager I used to get perms. Alright, I am understating that fact a bit – I got them every 6 weeks. I also did not go for the typical curly perm, I went for the more complicated and more chemical filled spiral perms.

The thing is that I did not utilize the curl the perm provided, I went for the frizz that the brushed curls produced. There were to big problem’s with this – the first being that my hair looked like I stuck my finger in an electric socket, the second being this constant perming and brushing was causing me to lose my already thin hair.

Since my hair had sustained a fair amount of abuse over the years, I am on a constant search for the right products that will restore my hair to its pre-perm glory. When I received an email that the previously only salon available Reviv3 Procare was becoming widely available I knew I wanted to give it a try.

Savannah Bee: Honey Lavender Bar Soap Review

Savannah Bee: Honey Lavender Handmade Bar Soap Review and Giveaway

Savannah Bee SoapRegular readers will know that I love soap and I love honey. The uses for honey products are as vast as they are amazing. There is medicinal honey which helps wounds and various injuries and there is food grade honey that is used in many popular recipes. Honey can be used on sore throats, burns, and bacterial infections.

My personal favorite use of honey is in soap. Honey is naturally an anti-microbial and when added to soap this makes the soap also anti-microbial. The other natural benefit of honey is that it is a humectant which basically means it retains and attracts moisture in the hair and skin.

I had the chance last year to review a couple of items by Savannah Bee Company and loved them. I was curious to try some more of their products and they were generous to send us a couple of products to review.
