Whisker Graphics: Back to School Project Giveaway

Whisker Graphics: Back to School Project Kit Giveaway

Whisker Graphics Back to School 2016When I was a child I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up, there was something about having a 3 month vacation that was appealing (remember the days when 3 months seemed like a lifetime?).

Now that I older, I have mixed emotions about not pursuing an education path. I see the tireless work, the dedication and the heart that it takes and I admire each teacher out there.

As kids prepare to return to the classrooms, the teachers and educators are also preparing. Educators undertake is with much more love and care than we can imagine. It is in this spirit of Back to School that I give you this Back To School Project Kit from Whisker Graphics .

Peaches & Petals Subscription Box – August 2016 Review

Peaches & Petals Subscription Box – August 2016 Review

August 2016 Thank You For Being a FriendWhen I was a youngster I watched a lot of television. It is this very topic that Jason and I speak of often. In a stark contrast to me he spent his time outside, riding his bike and hunting snakes. I, on the other hand spent all of my time inside, coloring or playing pretend with the television on as “company”.

At night when my father would go out and leave me to my own devices I would spend that time watching television. I had a couple of favorite shows including Mr. Belvedere, Hogan Family and The Golden Girls. To be honest thought Golden Girls was above my humor level, yet I loved the relationship between the 4 seemingly different women.

When I saw the August Peaches and Petals box I was reminded of all those hours shared with the Golden Girls. The boxes contents all revolve around the “Thank You for Being a Friend” theme and are appropriate, and useful while always remaining in theme.

Jif Peanut Butter Granola Bars Review

Jif Peanut Butter Granola Bars Review

Jif EditedAs the Back to School season marches forward, the need for on the go snacks transitions into needing them for lunches. When I was growing up I rarely made my lunches and brought them to school. There was something uncomfortable about eating a meat sandwich when it was sitting in my lunch box for 5 hours.

When I really stop to think about it, I have always been sensitive to foods and their temperature. I believe that sandwiches should be cold. and very little should be warm. My favorite are snacks that are not effected by heat changes.

The best foods I have found are granola items, and peanut butter – both these seem to hold up no matter the weather conditions. Recently I was send the Jif Peanut Butter Granola Bars and being a perfect mix of granola and peanut butter makes them the perfect lunch snack. .

SuperSeedzAs the summer continues thoughts to fall have entered my mind. Each year I look forward to the luscious seeds but I am very apprehensive to do anything but a simple bake to them.

Smith & Vandiver Review

Smith & Vandiver: Aromatherapaes and Spa…ah Review and Giveaway

Smith and VandeverI have never been the kind of girl who feels the need to pamper themselves. I have never had a true spa day, and have only had a handful of manicures in my lifetime.

Honestly one of the reasons for this lack of pampering is that I feel as though I can do just as good of a job in the comfort of my own home. The way I have always seen it is if you can find a relaxing aromatherapy, a pampering body wash and the right candles you can recreate the spa experience.

While I was attending the Natural Products Expo, about 8 hours into walking I began dreaming of a relaxing experience to ease my tired bones. When I reached the Smith & Vandiver booth I was dreaming of the relaxing possibilities with their products.

Little Pink Ladybug Bow Making System Review

Little Pink Ladybug: Brilliant Bowmaker – Ultimate Kit Review and Giveaway

Everything CreatedI have a confession – I am a ribbon addict. I love to collect ribbon and I love to acquire ribbon. In my craft room I have a clear storage box that is full of random lengths, textures and designs of ribbon. If I am in the store and I happen to see a ribbon that catches my eyes, it is a safe assumption that a couple of yards will be added to my collection.

Ribbon Assortment 1The origination of the ribbon collection are a bit murky, but if I had to guess it was due to my love of scrapbooking and gift wrapping. Now, despite having all this ribbon at my disposal, I rarely find uses for it, which is a sad reality that I strive to change with each craft project I take on.

The thing that I love the most about crafting is the constant use of different textures and mediums – ribbon included. There is no place that this fact than at the annual Craft and Hobby Mega Show, and the various vendors displaying their own take on creativity. While there I had the opportunity to see Little Pink Ladybug and their solution to all the ribbon I currently am collecting.

Nick’s Stick’s Jerky Review

Nick’s Stick’s Jerky Review and Giveaway

Jerky Assortment

One of my favorite things as a review blogger is when I company that I like expands their product lines and I have the opportunity to sample their new offerings. Many times this expansion is a good and expands upon an existing good idea.

A recent example of this is Nicks Stick’s. Nick’s Sticks already made free-range meat sticks that are a favorite with Jason. When I heard that they have also branched into the jerky world I was more that intrigued. When I emailed to congratulate them on this newest offering they were generous enough to send a bag of each of the 4 available flavors to try including: Traditional Beef Jerky, Prairie Fire Beef Jerky, Traditional Turkey Jerky and Prairie Fire Turkey Jerky.

Davids Natural Toothpaste Review and Giveaway

Davids Natural ToothpasteBy far one of the best things you can do for your body and health is focus on your oral health. When people are young it does not occur to them that the teeth they are given are teeth for life. It is important to take just as much care in your oral health as your mental and physical health.

Since oral health is paramount in my life I am always looking for a pure toothpaste that will give my teeth the best life possible. When I was at the Natural Products Expo I was able to meet the team of Davids Natural Toothpaste.
