The Ginger People: Ginger Rescue & Arjuna Bar Review and Giveaway

Ginger People TrioLet’s be honest, we all live stressful lives and sometimes that stress manifests into stomach issues. Most medicines that are made to help stomach issues are harsh and have less than positive side effects.

Since me and concept of nausea are very familiar I appreciate easy solution that will be as natural as possible. Given that this is a common problem during one of Jason and I’s many discussions he suggested that I try a ginger based solution.

I had done a review for the Ginger People about a year ago, and since they recently released some new products, I was curious to try their new ginger products.

American Gluten-Free – Foodie Box – August 2016 – Review

American Gluten-Free Foodie Box – August 2016 Review

August Discovery BoxSupport comes in many forms and many different ways. One of the most important keys in small businesses is the concept of support.

I think one of the biggest supporters of small businesses are the monthly gift box companies. Each month a small business that may otherwise not get the widespread eyes that a monthly subscription box can provide.

Each month American Gluten-Free chooses small and not so small business and not only includes them in their boxes, but also features them on their website and social media. This gives subscribers a nice insight into a company that otherwise may not be featured. The small businesses of the world make the world of commerce go around. Each month American Gluten-Free sends subscribers 7 to 9 items, mostly full size products to sample.

Deflecto Caddy and Carousel Organizer Review

Deflecto Caddy and Carousel Organizer Review and Giveaway

Caddy and CarouselI recently took up a new hobby – sewing. When I was purchasing my sewing machine I made sure to do my research and make sure the machine I chose had the stitched and features I wanted. I carefully chose those first fabrics, and the matching threads. I read the patterns instructions from beginning to end, and cut the pattern with nothing less than perfection. I purchased the supplies and felt confident that first time I sewed.

With all the things that I did do, there is one things I DID NOT do – storage for all the accessories I would need as a sewer. As a sewer there is a need for thread storage, sewing machine accessories, scissors, and other implements and notions. When Shoplet reached out to me about reviewing the Deflecto Stackable Caddy Organizer and the Rotating Carousel Organizer, I realized that this could be the storage I failed to get the first time around.

August 2016 Bold Botanicals Paper Pumpkin KitIf there is one thing that is inevitable it is the passage of time. As I get older this becomes more and more evident with little reprieve. Peaches & Petals Subscription Box – August 2016 Review

Peaches & Petals Subscription Box – August 2016 Review

August 2016 Thank You For Being a FriendWhen I was a youngster I watched a lot of television. It is this very topic that Jason and I speak of often. In a stark contrast to me he spent his time outside, riding his bike and hunting snakes. I, on the other hand spent all of my time inside, coloring or playing pretend with the television on as “company”.

At night when my father would go out and leave me to my own devices I would spend that time watching television. I had a couple of favorite shows including Mr. Belvedere, Hogan Family and The Golden Girls. To be honest thought Golden Girls was above my humor level, yet I loved the relationship between the 4 seemingly different women.

When I saw the August Peaches and Petals box I was reminded of all those hours shared with the Golden Girls. The boxes contents all revolve around the “Thank You for Being a Friend” theme and are appropriate, and useful while always remaining in theme.

Jif Peanut Butter Granola Bars Review

Jif Peanut Butter Granola Bars Review

Jif EditedAs the Back to School season marches forward, the need for on the go snacks transitions into needing them for lunches. When I was growing up I rarely made my lunches and brought them to school. There was something uncomfortable about eating a meat sandwich when it was sitting in my lunch box for 5 hours.

When I really stop to think about it, I have always been sensitive to foods and their temperature. I believe that sandwiches should be cold. and very little should be warm. My favorite are snacks that are not effected by heat changes.

The best foods I have found are granola items, and peanut butter – both these seem to hold up no matter the weather conditions. Recently I was send the Jif Peanut Butter Granola Bars and being a perfect mix of granola and peanut butter makes them the perfect lunch snack. .

Quest Stress Relieving Adult Coloring Book Review

Quest: Stress Relieving Adult Coloring Book – Blue Star Master Collection Review and Giveaway

QuestMany people do not know but when Jason was a teenager he was an avid Dungeons and Dragons player. Often times he would run his own campaigns and act as Dungeon Master.

Since we were best friends, I would go over on these nights and color while I listened to the tale that was unfolding next to me. I would imagine these worlds that Jason was describing and the colors came to life. In stark contrast I would be coloring cartoon characters and rainbows while listening to more of a medieval tale.

I would have loved to have a coloring book that reflected the story I was listening to. When I received a copy of Quest: Stress Relieving Adult Coloring Book from the Blue Star Master Collection by Samantha Johnson, my first thoughts was all those nights I spent listening and this book was the imagery behind the tale.  Continue reading

Pet Treater Monthly Subscription Box Review – August 2016

Pet Treater Monthly Subscription Box Review – August 2016

August Pet Treater Box and Meadow InvesigatingWe are embarking on Miss Meadow’s first birthday, and as the year has progressed as has her looks. Meadow is pure bred combination of Australian Labrador and Standard Poodle, and she carries the standard traits that this breed of dog shares. Laberdoodles are known to be energetic, happy and friendly dogs and this could not describe her more.

Jason had not seen Meadow since she was a couple of month’s old, so this visit was welcome on dog and human side. As I see her personality blossom, I keep thinking her future is in the doggy model industry. As for coloring her red is coming through with curly soft fur.

This months Pet Treater theme was “Best in Show” which made me think of Meadow’s fine lineage and how much of a show dog she could potentially be.

Fulcrum Gallery – Golden Wildflowers I Review

Fulcrum Gallery – Golden Wildflowers I Review and Print Giveaway

Megan Meagher Golden WildflowersOne of the most challenging parts about having a house is deciding on the various decor in each room.

After over 4 years in our home I am finally deciding how I want to decorate each of the rooms. For my craft room I decided on bright colors that would always inspire creativity, and the art in the room is my art throughout the years. Our living room is a mix of photos and sunflowers in a neutral palette. For our bathroom I went with a coastal/under the sea theme since we live on the west coast.

For our bedroom, I am still firming up my plans, but so far it is a collection of my art creations and various prints that evoke calm and relaxation. A couple of months ago I created a button project that expresses love. Since I have wanted to find a floral print that would coordinate well with the existing photos and prints I am always on the look-out. When FulcrumGallery.com reached out for a review from their “Timeless Chic” collections I was totally willing.

Reviv3 Procare Review

Reviv3 Procare – 3 Part System Review and Giveaway

Reviv3 Hair CareWhen I was a teenager I used to get perms. Alright, I am understating that fact a bit – I got them every 6 weeks. I also did not go for the typical curly perm, I went for the more complicated and more chemical filled spiral perms.

The thing is that I did not utilize the curl the perm provided, I went for the frizz that the brushed curls produced. There were to big problem’s with this – the first being that my hair looked like I stuck my finger in an electric socket, the second being this constant perming and brushing was causing me to lose my already thin hair.

Since my hair had sustained a fair amount of abuse over the years, I am on a constant search for the right products that will restore my hair to its pre-perm glory. When I received an email that the previously only salon available Reviv3 Procare was becoming widely available I knew I wanted to give it a try.
