Deflecto Caddy and Carousel Organizer Review and Giveaway
I recently took up a new hobby – sewing. When I was purchasing my sewing machine I made sure to do my research and make sure the machine I chose had the stitched and features I wanted. I carefully chose those first fabrics, and the matching threads. I read the patterns instructions from beginning to end, and cut the pattern with nothing less than perfection. I purchased the supplies and felt confident that first time I sewed.
With all the things that I did do, there is one things I DID NOT do – storage for all the accessories I would need as a sewer. As a sewer there is a need for thread storage, sewing machine accessories, scissors, and other implements and notions. When Shoplet reached out to me about reviewing the Deflecto Stackable Caddy Organizer and the Rotating Carousel Organizer, I realized that this could be the storage I failed to get the first time around.
The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Deflecto and Shoplet.
Deflecto Stackable Caddy Organizer is a 3 compartment storage caddy that stacks and locks to other caddies. The 3 sizes of compartments are Small Medium and Large. These compartments are removable and are able to be mounted on walls (with the mounting bar). This has a white frame and is perfect for crafts that are moved frequently.
In the large compartment I was able to put pins, elastic, pinking shears, scissors, and misc smaller sewing tools. In the smaller compartment I used it for elastic, fabric adhesives and bobbins both full and empty. Finally in the medium container I used it to hold the thread I use often. Overall I was surprised how much fit in this container, and how much room I have left over.
The Rotating Carousel Organizer is a 9 canister storage that has a rotating base. These are clear canisters, which allows for complete transparency of the items included in the canisters. These are removable and are also stackable.
After all was said and done, I am happy that off all things I did do, storage was the one I did not do. I can not imagine any storage better for my sewing items that float upstairs to downstairs.

This is really cool! Thanks for the great giveaway!
I am actually horrible at organizing.. My brain does not work that way for whatever reason and I drive my husband crazy. I want to be better organized. If I had someone set up a system , I can keep with that. These would help in organizing my homeschool supplies better.

I usually sort things out by certain items, get rid of any trash, and then I put everything away.
Keep organized by the item itself and keep all items in each individual space
Make lists.
I have all my bins labeled so everyone knows where everything goes
Store plastic bags in an empty tissue box
Using labels and color coding is always good for me.
Best organizing tip is to have a specific place for everything so you know where to look when you need something
I like to keep different sized bins and containers and I find that my items stay neater keeping them in the bins.
I love to organize
I make jewlelry and lots of bead to organize and store. This would be perfect for all those beads.
I make jewelry and lots of bead to organize and store. This would be perfect for all those beads.
If all else fails, just use baggies to hold little things that seems to always get lost.
Placing things together such as stickers in one bin, glitters in another, and so on.
Plan ahead, make lists, & label everything.
I use plastic shoe boxes to store my fabric scraps.
I’m really good at organizing. Not so well at staying organized. The kids certainly don’t help.
I ilke to make lists.
I would say when you take stuff out and you are done – put them back.
When you use something, always put it back exactly where you found it. That’s especially true when shuffling through drawers or cabinets.
Plan ahead so you have all of your supplies.
I keep garbage bags in the bottom of the barrel and when it comes time to change the bag they are right there
The way to stay organized is to get rid of the junk before it becomes a problem. If you don’t need or love it, don’t keep it.
I use labels on everything!
I don’t have any
I really don’t have any because I am the worst at organization. I need all the help I can get.
I don’t have any organizing tips.
I like labeling things and putting them in order.
My best tip is to start one room at a time and one corner at a time.Don’t rush it
I like to organize things by what room they are used in.
I organize my books by checking them out from the library and then returning them.
Thanks for the contest.
