Fulcrum Gallery – Golden Wildflowers I Review

Fulcrum Gallery – Golden Wildflowers I Review and Print Giveaway

Megan Meagher Golden WildflowersOne of the most challenging parts about having a house is deciding on the various decor in each room.

After over 4 years in our home I am finally deciding how I want to decorate each of the rooms. For my craft room I decided on bright colors that would always inspire creativity, and the art in the room is my art throughout the years. Our living room is a mix of photos and sunflowers in a neutral palette. For our bathroom I went with a coastal/under the sea theme since we live on the west coast.

For our bedroom, I am still firming up my plans, but so far it is a collection of my art creations and various prints that evoke calm and relaxation. A couple of months ago I created a button project that expresses love. Since I have wanted to find a floral print that would coordinate well with the existing photos and prints I am always on the look-out. When FulcrumGallery.com reached out for a review from their “Timeless Chic” collections I was totally willing.

The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Fulcrum Gallery and Metaverse Corporation, but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.

Last year I had the opportunity to review FramedArt.com and I recieved a wonderful sunflower print.

Fulrum on ArrivalFulcrum Gallery has the same parent company as FramedArt.com with more of an upscale feeling to it. After checking our the site and the hundreds of prints, I decided on a Framed Floral print. Again it took me over 2 hours to make the final decision because I kept second guessing my choice.

Side ViewThe print I chose was a print by Megan Meagher called Golden Wildflowers I. This is a 20 x 20 (finished size) regular bared canvas print and I chose a museum wrapping with Mars Black Painted Sides. I knew that I would be expecting a larger size box, based on my last shipment from them. I was pleasantly surprised to see the box fit the print perfectly and there was little wasted space. The print was wrapped in plastic and strapped down so there was little to no movement, which ensured its safe arrival.

Since my package delivery driver can be rough on packaged, I appreciated the care and attention taken to making sure my print arrived to me the same as when it left the Fulcrum Gallery warehouse. There are many options for finishing ranges from an art print, framed art  with my choice of black, brown, gold, or silver frame. The other option I had was the canvas finishing from gallery wrap, natural sides, or khaki sides. The bars come in both .75″ and 1.5″, of which I chose the .75″ deep to keep the profile low on that wall. The gallery wrap looks professional, clean and concise.

The end result is a really nice print that Jason and I will undoubtedly have for years and years that we can be proud to display and look at.

I’m not much into art, so I don’t have any favorites. I like a lot of different pieces.

My favorite piece of art is actually a painting my mother did for my sister. It is a beautiful image of my sister sitting on the edge of a cliff, under a tree, looking out over the mountains. It’s her favorite spot in the world. I love it because it captures a memory, is so beautiful, and was painted by my mother.

Jonathan Green’s art represents my childhood growing up in the south. His paintings of the low country, the sc islands, and south carolina landscapes makes me long for the days again.

I don’t know that I have a favorite—too big a subject. I like Klimt and Khalo and Georgia O’Keefe. I love oriental art. So much more.

I love abstract, modern, contemporary and photography. I really think art can bring a space alive and help it feel personalized. I have a bunch of artists that I like, however, Jasper Johns and Mark Rothko are two current favorites.

My daughter is an artist, so she is my favorite. I especially like all the artwork that she creates just for me.
