Peaches & Petals Subscription Box: July 2017 Review

Summer is upon us, and for some people the summer is already half over. It is important to savor and enjoy those summer nights while they are with us.

When I received this months box, I was thrilled to see a couple of items that will enhance our summer vacation. The theme for the July’s Peaches and Petals box was “Girl’s .. We Get Stuff Done'” and each item fit within that theme perfectly.

Deflecto Caddy and Carousel Organizer Review

Deflecto Caddy and Carousel Organizer Review and Giveaway

Caddy and CarouselI recently took up a new hobby – sewing. When I was purchasing my sewing machine I made sure to do my research and make sure the machine I chose had the stitched and features I wanted. I carefully chose those first fabrics, and the matching threads. I read the patterns instructions from beginning to end, and cut the pattern with nothing less than perfection. I purchased the supplies and felt confident that first time I sewed.

With all the things that I did do, there is one things I DID NOT do – storage for all the accessories I would need as a sewer. As a sewer there is a need for thread storage, sewing machine accessories, scissors, and other implements and notions. When Shoplet reached out to me about reviewing the Deflecto Stackable Caddy Organizer and the Rotating Carousel Organizer, I realized that this could be the storage I failed to get the first time around.

Avery Easy Align Self-Laminating ID Labels Review

Avery Easy Align Self-Laminating ID Labels Review and Giveaway

Avery 00757I am an organizer at heart. I love the thought that everything has its place and when I acquire more of something, it also has a home. Many times I put things in boxes, but then I forget to label what is in the box, and then I end up with 3 boxes of the same type items. This frustrates me to no end, and I have yet to find a solution that I am happy with. I have tried paper labels, and I find that over time they not only peel off but they start to look dirty. I have long wished that I could wipe the surface of the label and keep it adhered to the surface.

I am excited to say I might have found a solution to this organizing plight – the Avery Easy Align Self-Laminating ID Labels.

House of Doolittle Review

House of Doolittle: 2016 Calendar and 2016 Meeting Planner Review

House of Doolittle Calendar and Meeting PlannerThere are a few times of year that, as a child, I looked forward to. One of them was right before I went back to school in September and I got to purchase all the supplies that would take me through the new year. My second favorite time was in mid November when the new years calendars would be released.

Each year I would purchase a Ziggy themed desk calendar. I would patiently wait for the year to turn over to January 1st so that i could begin my adventure with Ziggy. I loved this calendar and I loved that the color was a simple shade of green. I was very sad when I could no long find this calendar and I often wonder why it was taken off the market when it obviously had a fan.

Each year I set out to create a calendar comparable to that desk calendar of days gone by. Despite my best efforts, each year I come up short so when I was sent the House of Doolittle 3 Month Vertical Compact Wall Calendar and House Of Doolittle Meeting Planner I knew my 2016 calendar needs were met.

MMF Steelmaster and Coin Wrapper Review

MMF Steelmaster: Drop Box,Desktop Inbox & Coin Wrapper Review

Steelmaster Bundle 2Security seems to be everywhere we look, be it television or reality. Jason and I constantly read stories of identities stolen, monies stolen and lives ruined. It has been a little while since I was in an office environment but Jason spends his days in an office and happens to have a job where security is more important that just about any other qualification.

Since Jason’s days are locked in security, I felt it only appropriate, when given the opportunity to review MMF Industries Steelmaster Desktop Inbox, Steelmaster Lockable Suggestion Drop Box and Steelmaster Nested Preformed Wrappers it felt a natural fit.

I was sent MMF Steelmaster Desktop Inbox, Steelmaster Lockable Suggestion Drop Box and Steelmaster Nested Preformed Wrappers.

Medline Remedy Phytoplex Skin Cream and Protectant Wipes Review

Medline Remedy Phytoplex Skin Cream and Protectant Wipes Review

Medline Remedy Phytoplex Skin Cream and WipesWhen we are young we do not consider that the hands, hair and body we have is the only one we are given, and this must make it last in the best condition possible.

I am a crafter, and as a crafter I end up washing my hands many times, and this can cause them to dry and crack. It also happens when I do not drink enough water. As I have approached the age I am currently (almost 6 months into 40) I realize that keeping my skin and hands healthy is paramount next to my internal health.

I have done previous reviews for Shoplet in the past and each time I discover a useful item and this product review is no different.

I was sent Medline Remedy Phytoplex Nourishing Skin Protectant Barrier Cream Cloths and Medline Remedy Phytoplex Nourishing Skin Cream – Moisturizer.

The Medline Remedy Phytoplex Nourishing Skin Protectant Barrier Cream Cloths are thick and soft clothes. The clothes come  or pre-moistened but that they are not sopping wet, but rather nicely moistened. The clothes leave skin feeling clean and moisturized and the cloths are non-irritating, non-sensitizing and have been pediatrician and dermatologist tested. The only precaution is that these are NOT flushable, so keep that in mind when using them. Each package has 8 thick pre-moistened cloths per package.

Smead Office Supplies Review

Smead – Redrope Tuff File Pocket and 3-in-1 SuperTab Section Folder Review

Smead File FoldersI have always loved the idea of organization and office supplies. When I was young my idea of a fun time was sorting items into colors, or themes and then placing them for display. When I got older I discovered the world of office supplies and was amazed that there were entire stores dedicated to this.

My father worked from home while I was growing up, so the need for organization and the utilization of office supplies were essential. The most difficult part was when the file folders tore and no longer served their function in life. The files that I had to reorganize were thick and not strong enough for the amount of paper work contained in them.

When I recently received the Smead Redrope TUFF File Pockets and the 3-in-1 SuperTab Section Folder. I remembered those frustrating days of reorganization.

Purell Hand Sanitizer Review

Purell Hand Sanitizer Review and Giveaway

Purell ShowcaseWhen I was a kid I loved to play and usually when I played I got dirty. I was a kid that, unfortunately, did not always wash my hands. I would be “spoken” to about this and my behavior would change for a week, and then I would slid back into my bad habits. As I got older I saw the utter importance of clean hands – but as a child I did not want to take that extra minute to keep myself safe, I might miss something important. I had many tiny colds as a child, no doubt due to my hand washing habits.

Stanley Bostitch Dynamo Stapler Review

20150907_015226_editedOne of my favorite office related movies is Office Space and the ubiquitous red stapler. Truth be told I have wanted my own red stapler since seeing that movie. It was not necessarily the red stapler I coveted, but rather what the stapler represents in the movie – let me explain further.

The character Milton loved his red stapler and was quite attached to it and it was his own anchor to his reality. Milton was pushed around, shuttled around and passed over when it was cake time at birthdays. The red stapler stood for his ownership in his world and his own version of control however little that might have been.

When I received the Stanley Bostitch Dynamo Stapler in the mail the first thing I noticed was the color – RED! The second thing that immediately got my attention was the features included in such a compact stapler, which included:

  • 20 sheet stapling capacity
  • Can hold up to 210 staples
  • Built-in sharpener
  • Built-in staple remover
  • Anti-microbial protection
  • Opens 180 degrees for tacking on walls
  • Curved ergonomic shape
  • Comfort Grip handling
  • Storage can be upright or flat
  • A storage for additional staples (see photo below)

Bostitch Dynamo Stapler RedThe stapler announces on the packaging that it can staple up to 20 sheets, and I am a girl who does not believe anything she reads so I had to put it to the test. I am happy to say that I stapled 20 sheets together numerous times and had an easy, flawless experience with each staple.

Bostitch CollageThis stapler features 70% recycled plastic and has a limited lifetime warranty. The Stanley Bostitch Dynamo Stapler also comes in blue and black in addition to the red I received.

This powerful red stapler is now in my drawer and will get a regular rotation of use. I understand now why Milton was so attached to his red stapler – they are great!
