Zazzle.com Review

Zazzle.com – Review and Giveaway

zazzleLetterform_whiteWe are approaching a historically significant time – an election year. When ever an election comes along the pundits and commentators speak up and compare current elections to previous elections. There have been many historical elections in our history, but in my lifetime there is one election that rises above the others: Reagan/Bush – 1984.

If you are unfamiliar with this particular election let me refresh your memory. Ronald Reagan was the Republican candidate with his running mate/future Vice-President/President George H. Bush. Reagan carried 49 of the 50 states and it’s victory ranks 7th of all Presidential elections.

I am a nostalgic person, so instead of wearing a shirt supporting the current presidential nominees I decided that I want to go back what is perceived to be a simpler time – 1984. I began to look for a shirt that I could wear that was comfortable and would be adaptable to wear to the store or at home writing. I came upon Zazzle.com and immediately knew that they would have what I desired.

Zazzle Reagan BushZazzle.com is not only a wonderful place to get your election related clothing but it is a great place to get anything printed your mind can create. Zazzle not only has pre-made and pre-printed products but they can also print your own designs. There are other sites that limit what you can print on, or create, but not Zazzle. This site allows you to create anything from t-shirts, guitar picks, flash drives, fabric, aprons, bumper stickers, beer koosies and blankets to name a few. I counted over 80 items that you can have a image or logo printed on, the only limit is your imagination (and copyright laws).

Sock Club – September 2015 – Review

Sock Club – September 2015 – Review & Giveaway

Sock Club SeptemberI am a sock fan and it could be said that I have a hoard level collection of socks. Jason made a comment today on my ever-growing sock collection and his surprise that I was unable to locate a pair to wear. I finally settled on a bulky pair that is to heavy for this time of year in California. I recently received a pair of socks from SockClub.com and was thrilled to see that they might be the pair I was searching for.

SockClub.com has been around over a year now and each month they send a sock and a note explaining what the inspiration behind choosing that sock was. These are an American made product – the socks are designed in Austin, Texas and manufactured in North Carolina. The company’s began when 2 friends made a bet over a corn hole match and they then began to think about what they could do with a small fortune (after all a bet had been made) and decided the answer was socks – thus Sock Club was conceived.

Purell Hand Sanitizer Review

Purell Hand Sanitizer Review and Giveaway

Purell ShowcaseWhen I was a kid I loved to play and usually when I played I got dirty. I was a kid that, unfortunately, did not always wash my hands. I would be “spoken” to about this and my behavior would change for a week, and then I would slid back into my bad habits. As I got older I saw the utter importance of clean hands – but as a child I did not want to take that extra minute to keep myself safe, I might miss something important. I had many tiny colds as a child, no doubt due to my hand washing habits.

Luseta Beauty Review

Luseta Beauty: Tea Tree and Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner Review and Giveaway

Luseta Shampoo and ConditionerI was born with naturally curly hair, but did not really understand what that meant until I got older. My curl is a nice relaxed curl naturally but as a teenager I wanted more curl. Due to this irrational need to curl my hair more, I got a perm every 6-8 weeks. Once I grew out of perms I discovered the world of hair coloring. I began with a bang – deep red on a sandy blond hair. It was extreme and unexpected, and I loved it. I kept this up for many years until I decided to strip my hair back to its original color. I have had moments of color since the stripping of my hair but I have largely avoided coloring my hair (when I do I use coloring in my hair I use the most natural dye I can find). Due to this vicious cycle I got myself into my hair is damaged and brittle and needs a little help.

I am always looking for the shampoo and conditioner combination that will not only make my hair look better but also regain its health it had before all my abuse. While I know I truly can not make that young hair come back, I can help it a little. When I was given the opportunity to review Luseta Beauty’s Tea Tree and Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner, I knew that I had to see if this would repair my fried damaged hair.

It’s THE Scoop By K-Kat Innovations Review and Giveaway

Scoop Its THE ScoopI love my Muggles, but that is not a surprise for regular readers. These two little furry creatures are Jason and I’s buddies and companions. Jason and I have unspoken but well established responsibilities where Maggee and Murfee are concerned. I like to say that we 50/50 but let’s be honest, the one who cleans the litter box should get a little more of that percentage. In our house that responsibility falls to me, although Jason is completely willing to step in if I am feeling less than motivated to do it.

We are lucky in one respect of the litter box situation, our two cats like to share a litter box. When we adopted Maggee we had a second litter box set up for her, and we had Murfee’s original litter box. We thought for sure that Maggee would love having her own box, she was already showing signs of being a thoughtful and clean cat. We kept the second litter box for almost a month and after nothing more than playing in the pristine clean litter that second litter box did not see much action.

Since the Muggles share a litter box I am constantly cleaning and making sure it is ready for them to use. I recently had the opportunity to try a relatively new product  – it’s THE Scoop. Let me first say that this is one of the best scoops I have ever used. I dislike cleaning the litter box but acutely realize that it must be done for our health and of course their health.

This is where LAFAZA Vanilla enters my life. I was sent LAFAZA Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Beans – 2 beans, LAFAZA Pure Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Extract – 2 oz, LAFAZA Pure Ground Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla – 1 oz and LAFAZA Vanilla Sugar – 8 oz for review.

Rani’s Yummy Review

Rani’s Nutrafoods: Yummy Review and Giveaway

Rani's Yummy All ProductsI am always on the look out for new snacks that Jason and I can munch on that are healthy and tasty. I never really gave oats any sort of consideration mainly because I am not a true fan of things like oatmeal or oatmeal cookies, although good sometimes. The idea of flavored oats was a somewhat new idea to me and I was skeptical that they would taste more than flavored cardboard.

I originally encountered Rani’s Yummy’s in the April Fit Snack Monthly Subscription box (see review here). It was one of the tastiest treats in the box and I knew I wanted to expand upon my sampling and write a review. Rani’s was generous enough to send me 1 of each of their shooters to try as well as a larger bag of their Peanut Butter Dream.

Rani’s Yummys origins are like many other moms out there in that Rani founded Rani’s Nutrafoods because she wanted a nutritional snack with energy. With that decision she began to mimic the sweets and snacks her and her children loved with a nutritional twist. She also wanted the resulting snack to be portable and convenient and that is when she came up with the idea of single serve packaging. The Rani’s Yummy Shooter was born, a single serve portions that are easy to open and are one serving size each.

Innoo Tech: Stainless Steel Garlic Press Review

Innoo Tech: Stainless Steel Garlic Press Review and Giveaway

Innoo Garlic Press Box ContentsThere is a list in our house. This list consists of the items that we want to add to our ever-expanding arsenal of cooking supplies and tools. I have learned recently that I really love adding garlic to just about anything I make on the stove or oven. The problem I encounter the most with garlic is the peeling and then getting it sliced to the proper allotments for cooking that make Jason and I happy.

When I received an offer to review Innoo Tech’s Garlic and Ginger Press I literally said YES to my computer screen. I did not know really what to expect given this would be my first use of a press of any kind. When I received and un-packaged the press it was compactly packaged with a plastic covering, as well as an instruction booklet.

The Ginger People Review

The Ginger People Review and Giveaway

The Ginger People - AssortmentAs I have mentioned in the past, as I get older I seem to be getting more sensitive in the stomach region. The newest issue I just discovered is that if I have any dairy after a certain hour I pay for it about 8 hours later in the form of nausea and sickness. It took a little effort to discover why I was waking up at 6 am every morning sicker then a dog, but now that I have I can work around it.

This is not the first time I have experienced nausea and I am always looking for ways to ease that feeling it gives. During one of Jason and I’s many discussions he suggested that I try some Ginger Ale. I had tried this as a kid under my father’s roof with mixed results and honestly reliance on a memory that is aging. I decided to give a try to some ginger, but I wanted an easier method then the ill tasting ale.

Geek Fuel Monthly Subscription – August 2015 Review

Geek Fuel Monthly Subscription – August Review

GeekFuel August 2015

I have spoken before about my conversion over to the dark side, which in my world means gaming. The first experience I had with a game was Assassins Creed 3 – I loved the idea that I could walk around and interact with my environment in a new way in which I never had before in games. The next game that captured my attention was Fallout 3 – Jason was playing it and I found myself spending more time watching him play then I was anything else.

Since Jason saw where I was headed in my world of gaming, he had purchased Fallout: New Vegas, in the eventuality of my gaming evolution (as he referred to it at the time). I began to play Fallout: New Vegas and discovered I really loved the game. From the Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System, to the PIP Boy, Mr. House, the exploring and the story and many paths it could take. Undoubtedly, this game fed my love of open world games and showed me what a game could be.

Needless to say I am more than excited that Fallout 4 is coming in a couple of short months and that this fact was mentioned in this months Geek Fuel monthly subscription box. There are few things that pack as much geek themed punch as the monthly subscription box from Geek Fuel. When I received the August themed box and as I have been in previous months, I was eager to see what it contained. It had been announced that there would be either a Wolverine or Spiderman Officially Licensed product in the August box. Included in this months box was the following:
