Rani’s Nutrafoods: Yummy Review and Giveaway

Rani's Yummy All ProductsI am always on the look out for new snacks that Jason and I can munch on that are healthy and tasty. I never really gave oats any sort of consideration mainly because I am not a true fan of things like oatmeal or oatmeal cookies, although good sometimes. The idea of flavored oats was a somewhat new idea to me and I was skeptical that they would taste more than flavored cardboard.

I originally encountered Rani’s Yummy’s in the April Fit Snack Monthly Subscription box (see review here). It was one of the tastiest treats in the box and I knew I wanted to expand upon my sampling and write a review. Rani’s was generous enough to send me 1 of each of their shooters to try as well as a larger bag of their Peanut Butter Dream.

Rani’s Yummys origins are like many other moms out there in that Rani founded Rani’s Nutrafoods because she wanted a nutritional snack with energy. With that decision she began to mimic the sweets and snacks her and her children loved with a nutritional twist. She also wanted the resulting snack to be portable and convenient and that is when she came up with the idea of single serve packaging. The Rani’s Yummy Shooter was born, a single serve portions that are easy to open and are one serving size each.

4 Product collage Rani's YummysChocolate Yum – The best way to describe these is think of a fudge brownie and you will be close. This resembles a slightly unsweetened cocoa taste, but they were really good. This would be really good as a topping on ice cream.

Cinnamon Sensation – This reminded me of a snickerdoodle cookie roller with oats. This would be good as topping for muffins or apple tarts. These were really good.

Peanut Butter Dream –  This reminded me of the cookie part of a peanut butter cookies in oats – this would also be good on top of ice cream.

Buttered Oats – The original, a simple buttered oats that would go over just about anything from pork to ice cream. This was very good and they were a beautiful color.

Brainy Cinnamon Bun –  This tasted just like a cinnamon bun – this would be good over either ice cream or yogurt. This was similar to the Cinnamon Sensation, and unfortunately is no longer available on the Rani’s Yummy website.

The ingredients used in Rani’s Yummy’s are simple to pronounce and familiar items such as whole grain oats, butter, brown sugar, cane sugar, maple syrup, cardimum, peanuts, chocolate chips, cinnamon and vanilla, cocoa and agave to sweeten. I love the simplicity of the ingredients and every can pronounce them.

These are not only tasty oats, but they are also super versatile for a “yummy” topping and mix in! I encourage you to give them a try!

Oh my gosh, these sound perfect to top ice cream with! Currently I just use old fashioned chocolate sauce to top my ice cream, but sometimes I’ll smear a little peanut butter on there as well.
