The Ginger People Review and Giveaway
As I have mentioned in the past, as I get older I seem to be getting more sensitive in the stomach region. The newest issue I just discovered is that if I have any dairy after a certain hour I pay for it about 8 hours later in the form of nausea and sickness. It took a little effort to discover why I was waking up at 6 am every morning sicker then a dog, but now that I have I can work around it.
This is not the first time I have experienced nausea and I am always looking for ways to ease that feeling it gives. During one of Jason and I’s many discussions he suggested that I try some Ginger Ale. I had tried this as a kid under my father’s roof with mixed results and honestly reliance on a memory that is aging. I decided to give a try to some ginger, but I wanted an easier method then the ill tasting ale.
The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Royal Pacific Foods/Ginger People Group.. This post may contain affiliate links, but this in no way influences the review to follow.
In my searching I discovered The Ginger People, a company that has been around for over 30 years and specializes in all natural ginger. This family owned and operated company prides itself in sourcing from the premier ginger growing regions of the world. When it comes to awards and accolades, The Ginger People is the world’s most award-winning ginger brand. If all that is not enough The Ginger People is America’s leading supplier of natural and organic ginger ingredients.
The Ginger People were generous enough to send us 3 of their products to sample and test. The first item we received were their Gin Gins:Ginger Spice Drops. The drops are about the size of the tip of your thumb and are a light brown with obvious sugar crystals throughout the surface. I expected them to taste similar to a ginger snap given the ginger and sugar and i was close – they were a sharper version of a ginger snap. The second item that we tried was the Gin Gins: Chewy Ginger Candy and it tasted like the drops but much chewier. This began to hurt my teeth so I could recommend sucking on this. The third product we received were the Gin Gins: Ginger Carmel Candy. These are a hard candy that are ginger and caramel, which was the overwhelming flavor. These are made with 30% ginger making them the highest concentration of ginger that The Ginger People carries. The products made by The Ginger People are all natural, fat-free, gluten-free.
I am going to keep these on hands for those times that my stomach aches and nausea hits. I love that ginger can be used for a variety of ailments such as being able to ignite an extinguished appetite, it helps improve absorption and assimilation of essential nutrients, helping to ease cramps as well as having anti-inflammatory properties.
These are a little item that can pack a punch when on the go or at home – I would recommend everyone giving these a try!
I encourage all of you to visit Ginger People and to purchase visit Amazon.com

I LOVE Gin gins! I have some very severe gut issues (I’m talking way worse than food sensitivities so this says a ton about the power of these candies!) And found a bunch of varieties in the hospital gift shop and they helped as much or more as the potential prescription anti nausea meds I’m on. Glad they help you too! I also like them for treating hiccups (which I get a lot for some reason). Nothing else will stop mine but sugar and I find hiccups themselves can be nauseating so its kind of awesome how well gingins work for that!
I also have to confess I think the illustrations on the packaging is so adorable and I wish they would make a Ginger People plushie. I’d buy it. Haha.
