World of Munchies: Snack Attack Box Review

World of Munchies: Snack Attack Box – Review & Giveaway

Snack Attack Box ContentsAs time passes I have discovered that I love to try new things. This is new for me as prior to the starting of this blog I had not been someone who was open to trying new items. I am very proud to say that I now not only try different items, but I actively seek out these opportunities to try something new. I have discovered many wonderfully yummy items and I look forward to each opportunity to sample these items.

I have had the opportunity in the past to review previous World of Munchies boxes, they are the perfect way to sample international snacks and sweets without the commitment. One of the offerings of boxes that they have is called the Snack Attack box. Each Snack Attack box you will receive 7-9 items in each box, selected from various international snacks. New products are being added often, which means that each box will be a random sampling of the snacks.

Birds of the World Adult Coloring Book Review

Birds of the World: Adult Coloring Book Review and Giveaway

Birds of the WorldBirds have always been one of natures most beautiful animals. There are colorful birds and birds whose names are almost unpronounceable. The common thread with all birds is that they fly over this world, and log more miles than most airplanes.

The one thing that is amazing is the art of flight. I think it is truly amazing that an animal can literally start from the ground and within moments be gliding through the air.

When I received a copy of Birds of the World: Adult Coloring Book by Remy Simard I was reminded of the magical ability of birds.

Cat Lady Box Monthly Subscription Review: June 2016

Cat Lady Box Monthly Subscription Review and Giveaway – “Pampurr” Yourself – June 2016

Cat Lady Box Contents June 2016I love watching my kittens and their habits. I love to watch them engage in the rituals that make them the magical animals that they are.

One of my favorite things to watch is the grooming rituals. There are times that Maggee will groom herself, and her brother Murfee. I love to watch how Murfee just laps up the attention even to the point to sometimes getting into the grooming session with a zen like expression. I credit this to Maggee’s previous life as a mommy, she has an instinct to groom and love another animal. I can sit and watch this for an hour without pause, and sometimes my stare causes them pause, which makes me divert my stare.

It was announced that this months Cat Lady Box would have a spa theme I thought it appropriate since cats and pampering go hand in paw. They delivered with a theme called “Pampurr Yourself”. As I have mentioned before so I hate to be redundant but to say that each box is “pawsome” is underselling it. Each month is better than the last and you can see previous reviews here.

Each month the exterior comes emblazed with the logo in black and is a proud announcement of your Cat Lady status to all the box encounters on its journey. Once the box is open, you are greeted with a black tissue with a sticker enclosing everything in the box from hand and paws alike. The box is packaged well, and there is space enough that items do not get smooshed and smashed together.

The Spice Lab Herb Blend and Infused Tea Review

The Spice Lab: Herb Blend and Infused Tea Review and Giveaway

Spice Lab Tea and Oil BlendA shift occurred when I was in my early 20’s  that I stopped drinking soda and transitioned to tea. In the beginning I would stick with a standard plain tea that had little tea after taste, but tasted of tea. As I got more comfortable with the overall flavor of tea and learned my preferences (unsweetened no sugar please), I learned the wonder of flavored and infused teas.

Since then I have almost exclusively drank tea at restaurants, and prefer that over most either beverages. I enjoy the unsweetened infused teas and I tend to ice the tea, chill and enjoy it that way.

As we trek into summer and the warmer months, the weather is perfect to brew a tea outside, and then pour it over a large glass of ice. Since I am a tea fan, I love to try new teas and recently a woman owned company called The Spice Lab released a line of Infused Tea as well as some Olive Oil Herb Blends.

Paper Pumpkin June 2016 Kit Review

Paper Pumpkin – June 2016 Review and Giveaway

June 2016 KitSince I am a summer baby I have always viewed the summer as an exciting time. The summer months use to mean vacation, lazy days and my birthday. I am not going to lie, my favorite part of my birthday is the cards and the decorations. Ever since I was young I have loved banners. With each banner, it is almost a proclamation of the event you are attending. The banners can announce names, and even the reason for the event.

Since I will turning a tad over 40 this year, I need to have a banner announcing it. As luck will have it, the June 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit “Banner Surprise” is a banner and card making kit in one!

Pet Treater Monthly Subscription Box Review – June 2016

Pet Treater Monthly Subscription Box Review – June 2016

Pet Treater June ContentsEver since I was young my father has mentioned that I have impeccable timing. When I was young I saw this as the highest compliment, but now in my 40’s I clearly see what he meant.

As regular readers will know each month I make the 15 minute trek across lands far and wide (really the equivalent of 6 turns in total) to visit my fathers furry best friend and deliver the box contents to her (minus what is kept for my furry best friends). On the particular day I chose to go over, unbeknownst to me, Meadow and my father were having a rough morning.

Apparently It started from wake up, when someone crawled into her humans bed and then proceeded to rip a pillow apart, the human was alerted when he felt falling feathers. From there it was one inappropriate chew toy after another. Despite the rough morning, my father saw a reprieve with giving her some new toys to chew.

Since this month’s Pet Treater theme was “Unleashed”, it was perfect timing since she was a little “off the leash” that day. I love seeing her, and as my father and her bond, she is becoming calmer and a really well-behaved dog that listens. Meadow has an inherent curiosity and I love seeing her explore this each month with the contents of the box.

Motsenbocker’s Lift Off Review

Motsenbocker Liftoff: Spray Paint Graffiti Remover and Latex Paint Remover  Review and Giveaway

Lift Off Duo RemoverI am a messy crafter and if there is paint or other permanent implements are involved all bets are off.

Let me share a prime example of the phenomenon I am talking about. It was about 6 months ago, and I had the genius idea to melt crayons on a canvas in the middle of my lifting room, against my new couch. I did have the foresight to put down a tarp but sadly I underestimated the wax and paints ability to travel. As I was blissfully and ignorantly melting the crayon and the paint flew with the dryer on low-speed, when Jason noticed something askew. Sadly, I had created a splatter painting of wax and paint on the uncovered surfaces around me.

While this was not the ideal situation, luck seems to always be on our side. Around the time I began to seriously thinking needed to rectify the mess I made and email arrived. The email I received was from Motsenbockers asking if I wanted to review two of their cleaning products.

Little Pink Ladybug Bow Making System Review

Little Pink Ladybug: Brilliant Bowmaker – Ultimate Kit Review and Giveaway

Everything CreatedI have a confession – I am a ribbon addict. I love to collect ribbon and I love to acquire ribbon. In my craft room I have a clear storage box that is full of random lengths, textures and designs of ribbon. If I am in the store and I happen to see a ribbon that catches my eyes, it is a safe assumption that a couple of yards will be added to my collection.

Ribbon Assortment 1The origination of the ribbon collection are a bit murky, but if I had to guess it was due to my love of scrapbooking and gift wrapping. Now, despite having all this ribbon at my disposal, I rarely find uses for it, which is a sad reality that I strive to change with each craft project I take on.

The thing that I love the most about crafting is the constant use of different textures and mediums – ribbon included. There is no place that this fact than at the annual Craft and Hobby Mega Show, and the various vendors displaying their own take on creativity. While there I had the opportunity to see Little Pink Ladybug and their solution to all the ribbon I currently am collecting.
