Pet Treater Monthly Subscription Box Review – June 2016
Ever since I was young my father has mentioned that I have impeccable timing. When I was young I saw this as the highest compliment, but now in my 40’s I clearly see what he meant.
As regular readers will know each month I make the 15 minute trek across lands far and wide (really the equivalent of 6 turns in total) to visit my fathers furry best friend and deliver the box contents to her (minus what is kept for my furry best friends). On the particular day I chose to go over, unbeknownst to me, Meadow and my father were having a rough morning.
Apparently It started from wake up, when someone crawled into her humans bed and then proceeded to rip a pillow apart, the human was alerted when he felt falling feathers. From there it was one inappropriate chew toy after another. Despite the rough morning, my father saw a reprieve with giving her some new toys to chew.
Since this month’s Pet Treater theme was “Unleashed”, it was perfect timing since she was a little “off the leash” that day. I love seeing her, and as my father and her bond, she is becoming calmer and a really well-behaved dog that listens. Meadow has an inherent curiosity and I love seeing her explore this each month with the contents of the box.
There has not been a month that I am not blown away by the quality and contents of the Pet Treater Box. It truly is is as good, and even better than the month before. Meadow is starting level out on growth and is settling nicely in to medium size dog so I am reviewing the medium dog box. The June box was a thoughtfully curated play themed box that maintained the theme of “Unleashed”.
Here is a breakdown of the items that were in my/Meadow’s June Pet Treater box:
Happy Tails -Tuff Toy: This started out a good toy, until my father made the mistake up to her minimal sized teeth. The current plan is to re-sew it and return it to her collection of toys, but take it when the chewing begins.
Red Barn Naturals – Sweet Potato Fries: The first thing I noticed was that these looked just like sweet potato fries with the moisture taken out. I was unsure how Meadow would react to these, and after some initial apprehension she took the treat and began chowing. She seemed to enjoy this and when given the choice of a vitamin or this, she chose the fries!
Cobble Creek – Pet Backseat Cover: My father purchased a new car shortly before Meadows entrance into his life so a backseat cover is beyond essential. The cover included in this months box folds easily and stores in the back of the seat. Since my father takes her where ever he can, this will be an added safety measure to the future of his car upholstery. This measures 56 x 58 fitting in any car.
Dogs Unleashed – Pet Bowl Placemat: Here it is with my impeccable timing again, my father was looking online for a mat in which he could place Meadow’s bowl on. This was a nice size at 13″x20″ which made it perfect size for her water bowl, and any splash back that may occur.
MultiPet – Frontier Hat: 100% full disclosure here – this hat may have been worn by the humans before the dog received it (comment below and I may add those photos to the review). This was a replica of a “Davy Crocket” hat and I can say that the dog loved it as much as the humans.
Wholelife Tail Mix – Carrots and Apple: These were little nuggets that resembled a star shape. Meadow liked these and given the chance I imagine many more would have disappeared.
Treats for Human and Dog: Each month Pet Treater includes a present for the guardian of the animal. This month was a Talking Keyring Mustache, which may or may not have been balanced as to imitate a mustache. I ended up with this and put it on my key ring and since I have a key-less entry and ignition I do not need to worry about weight of my key ring.
Pet Treater is a monthly subscription box that is geared 90% toward your dog, and 10% for the human who loves them. Each month the staff at Pet Treater treat’s your best friend with quality times that you both will love. Each box generally include treat’s, a couple of interactive toy’s as well as surprise for the human! Each box is different depending on the breed and size of your dog – and while there is a difference you can expect to receive a box comparable to the one I am showing you here.
Run and fetch this box – you and your dog will love it!!
