Lafe’s Natural BodyCare: Active Twist Stick Review

Lafe’s Natural BodyCare: Active Twist Stick Review and Giveaway

Lafes ActiveAs a native San Diegian, it is a rare day where the temperature becomes unbearable. These past couple of weeks it has been record-setting hot.

There is something that I should tell you is that I do not handle heat well and neither does my body. Sadly when the heat index rises, so does my sweat levels. This can be embarrassing, since I am not a gal that likes to have any adverse odor coming from my region. I am sensitive and I am picky when it comes to my personal hygiene. Despite my pickiness I am always open to trying something new and different, as with the case with Lafe’s Natural BodyCare Deodorants.

Watercolor Wishes Card Kit Review

Stampin’ Up – Watercolor Wishes Card Kit – Review and Giveaway

Watercolor Wishes Project KitAs regular readers will know I love a good craft project. The other thing that I love is to spend the time making a card and sending it to a loved one to let them know I am thinking of them.

A couple of years ago I married into a large family that happens to live locally. What this means is that there is a constant need and desire to know everybody’s names, spouse names and most importantly, which child belongs to which cousin. I am going to be honest and say that this was almost a struggle to learn in the beginning and many times I verified the familial connection with my husband.

Since the family is so large, there is always a birthday, anniversary or other note-worthy event which necessitates many cards being sent throughout the year. When I was looking through the  latest Stampin’ Up catalog, and I came across the Watercolor Wishes Card Kit.

Simple Mills: Almond Flour Crackers Review

Simple Mills: Fine Ground Sea Salt and Cheddar Almond Flour Crackers Review and Giveaway

Simple Mills CrackersAs the summer sun sets, also comes the time for evening entertaining. A popular evening activity is watching the sun set with a bottle of win and crackers. For the gluten sensitive this can be a less than enjoyable experience.

One of my favorite things as a blogger is when I company that I have worked with in the past, increases and expands their product offerings. Recently I inquired to Simple Mills for a possible giveaway and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they had added crackers to their already successful mixes. When I reached out they were generous enough to send me a sample of their crackers.

Peaches & Petals Subscription Box – July 2016 Review

Peaches & Petals Subscription Box – July 2016 Review

Peaches and Petals July 2016As has been mentioned in the past July is a special month because it is my birthday month. My day is almost smack dab in the middle of the month (the 13th if you were wondering) which means it is in the middle of July.

With the middle of July comes the thoughts of summer such as the beach, sand, water, sun, late nights, warm nights and ice drinks. While I have never been a beach girl, I live close to the beach and on breezy days can even smell the ocean air.

When I saw the July Peaches and Petals box I knew that summer was here. The boxes contents all revolve around the “Dance to the Music” theme and are appropriate, and useful while always remaining in theme for the longer summer days!

Imaginating: Bubbles Cross Stitch Kit Review

Imaginating: Bubbles Cross Stitch Kit Review and Giveaway

Bubbles Cross Stitch KitI am a craft connoisseur, which means I love all kinds of crafts. One of the first crafts that I discovered was cross stitching. I remember the day clearly – When I was in the latter (way latter) part of my teens I remember I was waiting for my boyfriend of the time, and decided that I would get to know her better. As I a walked in I saw her working on this intricate dream catcher image that would eventually be framed and on a wall.

As it turns out she was working on a piece called Dreamcatcher, and it was one of the most gorgeous things I had seen. I was amazed that with the combination of symbols, the proper color and a counting ability the gird on paper would become what I was seeing. I decided to take a moment and watch her – I was hooked.

When I was walking around the Craft &Hobby Show I came across a company called Imaginating. Imaginating carries patterns for cross stitching, embroidery, furnishing items, hand applique, pattern darning, quilting and wearable. Imaginating was generous enough to send me the kit called Bubbles in cross stitch for review.

Open Road Snacks: Sinfully Thin Popcorn Review

Open Road Snacks: Sinfully Thin Popcorn Review and Giveaway

Sinfully Thing HeaderOften times I feel as though I am repeating myself and this is one of those cases – we are a snack house. As time passes, we find ourselves that the snacks we like tend to slant more on the healthier end of the spectrum.

One snack that seems to be not only re-occurant but healthy too is popcorn. Over the past couple months I have come to appreciate popcorn and the many variations that it comes in.

Sinfully Thin Popcorn is a product from Open Road Snacks with the belief that the company keeps a passionate commitment to small batch taste while keeping with a scale to go anywhere meaning that snacker’s do not have to choose convenience over quality.

Soul of the Woodland Adult Coloring Book Review

Soul of the Woodland: A Stress Relieving Adult Coloring Book Review and Giveaway

Soul of the WoodlandWhen I married Jason I knew that at some point I would go camping. You see, Jason was an outdoors kid, and as an adult became adept at fishing in Mammoth, and camping in Yosemite. Each year Jason’s parents spend their anniversary in the mountains, merging glamping and camping into one 3 week adventure.

I, on the other hand, have never been camping, and really the thought somewhat scares me. While I love hearing bear stories, and fishing tales and the diversity of flowers and wildlife.

When I received a copy of Soul of the Woodland: A Stress Relieving Adult Coloring Book by Suzy Joyner Jason was finally able to share his love of the woodland with me.

ColoringNotebook Review

ColoringNotebook Review

Coloring NotebookWhen you typically think of notebooks they are simple spiral bound lined pages that vary in thickness from 25 to 125 pages. These are also the same notebooks that are synonymous with note taking and studying. These are typically standard size and the cover is nothing more than a solid color.

Until recently I never considered combining coloring with a lined book, until I was approached to review the new ColoringNotebook. At first glance it is clear this is not the notebook that held all those chemistry notes so many years before.

Monthly Mystery Box of Awesome – June 2016 Review

Monthly Mystery Box of Awesome – June 2016 Review

June Mystery Box of AwesomeWhen I was a kid there was a store in the neighboring town that was part thrift store, part supply store and part flea market.  This store had everything from toys to dental tools. My father would take me to this store and I would venture off to find some random item I could up-cycle into a useful something.

As I got older, I saw the genius in a store of this nature and now as a homeowner I find myself missing the store I used to see the passage of time inside. I often wish I could go to this store, walk the isles and pickup a random sampling of items that would be useful for my home.

I am very happy to say that I have discovered that long-lost store in the form of a monthly box. The Monthly Mystery Box of Awesome by That Daily Deal.com is the random equivalent of that long-lost store. Each month no theme is chosen, but rather a selection of random gender neutral items that will undoubtedly meet a need in your life that you never knew was missing.
