Cat Lady Box Monthly Subscription Review and Giveaway – “Pampurr” Yourself – June 2016
I love watching my kittens and their habits. I love to watch them engage in the rituals that make them the magical animals that they are.
One of my favorite things to watch is the grooming rituals. There are times that Maggee will groom herself, and her brother Murfee. I love to watch how Murfee just laps up the attention even to the point to sometimes getting into the grooming session with a zen like expression. I credit this to Maggee’s previous life as a mommy, she has an instinct to groom and love another animal. I can sit and watch this for an hour without pause, and sometimes my stare causes them pause, which makes me divert my stare.
It was announced that this months Cat Lady Box would have a spa theme I thought it appropriate since cats and pampering go hand in paw. They delivered with a theme called “Pampurr Yourself”. As I have mentioned before so I hate to be redundant but to say that each box is “pawsome” is underselling it. Each month is better than the last and you can see previous reviews here.
Each month the exterior comes emblazed with the logo in black and is a proud announcement of your Cat Lady status to all the box encounters on its journey. Once the box is open, you are greeted with a black tissue with a sticker enclosing everything in the box from hand and paws alike. The box is packaged well, and there is space enough that items do not get smooshed and smashed together.
This months contents were catered to me and my feline companions and included the following:
Cat Butt Pillowcase Set – CatLadyBox Exclusive: Sometimes I receive items that correlate and relate to something at that time in my life and these are one of those items. I am constantly making the comment that there is nothing cuter than a cat butt – in fact I said it about 10 minutes ago! I love these pillowcases and plan to display them on our bed proudly! Due to the exclusive nature of this item, it is only available in Cat Lady Box.
Handcrafted Artisan Soap – Purring Buddha: As people may or may not know I love soap, and to take something I love like Artisan soap and cats and combine them make my soap collector dreams come true. There were 3 different varieties I could have received, all of which have cute cat themed names – Purrvana, Serenity Meow (any Seinfeld fans out there?) and the scent I received called Paws and Reflect which is made with a exfoliating coconut milk soap with organic Kitty Kush. This smells so good, and looks so cute on the sink counter!
Catnap Sleep Mask – CatLadyBox Exclusive : We do not keep normal hours around here – Jason works late into the evening and starts later in the early mornings. To compensate for this we stay awake late at night, and many times are sleeping when the sun dawns. While we do have a black and gray curtain that masks much of the light, there are the rays and brightness that shines through. This can be a little frustrating when one is trying to get a couple extra hours of sleep despite the brightness level outside. This is a cute and comfortable mask that darkened out the world around me and allowed me to sleep.
Spa Washcloth – CatLadyBox Exclusive: This was an bonus surprise that fit wonderfully within the spa theme of the box. This is a soft washcloth is a simple white cloth that has a cute blue cat embroidered on the front. I loved this and plan to add it to my washcloth rotation.
*CAT TOYS* Scratcher with Catnip and Multi-pet Loofa Cat Toy: Let me just say I loved the dual use of the box by having a scratcher inside for the Maggee and Murfee’s. This came with a bag of catnip, which made my catnip addicted cat Murfee very pleased, if not a little on the high side. The purple Multi-pet Loofa toy is a hit in this house! The cats have a couple of these toys in different colors and Murfee loves them. It gives him something about his size to bunny kick and batt around (sister Maggee fights back).
FelineAffinity: This months Cat Lady Artist Manda Mccarty strives to honor the feline in her art and takes time to make a quality portrait over quantity. Included in each months box is a postcard featuring a new cat print, and each month is different from the previous months.
As most of these items are made special for CatLadyBox it is hard, if not impossible, to locate them outside the monthly box subscription. If I was able to locate the items, then I have included the links for you to possibly purchase them without a box subscription.
As time passes, these boxes really do get better with time. Each month there are items that are exclusive to the box and it’s subscribers. This is great! My kitties would love everything.
I have a 18 year old cat that has to drink from the facet in the bathroom and you have to pick her up and put her on the sink. She is so funny. I also have a six year old cat who is sleeps all day in a basket that I put on a dresser with a blanket in it.
My cat loves people. He isn’t one to hide when we have visitors. He likes to come out and visit with everyone.
Our daughter’s cat is named Lillian. Her most purrfect personality trait is that she adores our daughter.
Their most “purrfect” personality trait is how they all meow in perfect harmony while begging for food. I love my cats!

Zen is very sensitive and is always around making sure you’re okay, if you’re not she’ll give you a good kitty kneading massage accompanied by lots of purrs. Clover is the comedian if she does something and it makes you laugh she’ll be sure to do it a lot.
Our cats, Lieutenant Doof and Miss Kitty. have such different personalities. Doof is Mr. Macho, strutting around doing stunts. Miss Kitty is lovely and likes to snuggle into a lap.
I have 6 furkids and each is super excited to have the chance to win a cat box!
My cat, though very annoying and clingy a lot of the times, is great when it comes to food.
He doesn’t jump on counters or try to sneak food that isn’t his – he’s pretty satisfied with his own food.
But there is one exception: bacon.
He’ll tear that out of your hands if you’re not careful. 🙂

She licks the tub after anyone uses it.
The most purrfect personality trait my cat has is that she always lays with her belly in the air. And she will hop on the table and steal food off of your plate. My other cat’s purrfect personality trait is that he sticks his paws into cups to get his paw wet, and then he will drink the liquid off of his paw.
