Soul of the Woodland Adult Coloring Book Review

Soul of the Woodland: A Stress Relieving Adult Coloring Book Review and Giveaway

Soul of the WoodlandWhen I married Jason I knew that at some point I would go camping. You see, Jason was an outdoors kid, and as an adult became adept at fishing in Mammoth, and camping in Yosemite. Each year Jason’s parents spend their anniversary in the mountains, merging glamping and camping into one 3 week adventure.

I, on the other hand, have never been camping, and really the thought somewhat scares me. While I love hearing bear stories, and fishing tales and the diversity of flowers and wildlife.

When I received a copy of Soul of the Woodland: A Stress Relieving Adult Coloring Book by Suzy Joyner Jason was finally able to share his love of the woodland with me.

Let say that the products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Blue Star Publishing. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.

Soul of the Woodland: A Stress Relieving Adult Coloring Book by Suzy Joyner contains over 34 different images of trees, mushrooms, pine cones, acorns, flowers, birds, animals, a cottage, and a woodland gnome amongst others.

Soul Woodland 5I was excited to see a couple of sunflower patterns included within the other images.

Soul Woodland SunflowerAs I have mentioned in previous Blue Star reviews, the book, does not lie flat, but does not affect the function of the book. If you open the book wide and press down on the interior spine you will be able to crack the binding. Otherwise the book will not stay open on it’s own and a weight on the non coloring side would be helpful. This is not a reason to bot get the book and honestly the worst that happens is that it makes coloring a little more challenging. and this in no way affects the book.

If you want to remove the pages please note that the book is bound similar to traditional books, so take care when removing the pages. I use my typical recommendation which is to be cautious when tearing or removing the page or use a cutting device such as scissors or a craft knife to get the page out since the images are close to the edges. Many of the pages cut close to the binding so take extra care when removing pages.

I would recommend placing a piece of paper under the page to be colored to avoid bleeding through to other pages. This also will assist in the prevention of creating impressions on the following pages from pressing down to hard – which I am guilty of.

If you are like me, and not a fan of being in the woodland, but love the beauty of it, this is the book for you! This book includes so many images that are woodland inspired I know you will love this book!

As for camping with Jason .. stay tuned!

Yes, we go camping just about every other weekend during the summer. Our family really loves the outdoors and the fun times together.

I have been camping and would rather stay at a hotel. Just not for me even though I love the outdoors

I am not a huge fan of camping but we go because it makes the children happy.
