Peaches & Petals Subscription Box – July 2016 Review
As has been mentioned in the past July is a special month because it is my birthday month. My day is almost smack dab in the middle of the month (the 13th if you were wondering) which means it is in the middle of July.
With the middle of July comes the thoughts of summer such as the beach, sand, water, sun, late nights, warm nights and ice drinks. While I have never been a beach girl, I live close to the beach and on breezy days can even smell the ocean air.
When I saw the July Peaches and Petals box I knew that summer was here. The boxes contents all revolve around the “Dance to the Music” theme and are appropriate, and useful while always remaining in theme for the longer summer days!
Let me say that the products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Jammin Butter/Peaches & Petals. Peaches and Petals is a monthly box that caters to ‘fun, flirty, fashionable vintage and modern lifestyles’. As a subscriber each month you will receive 3-5 items that have been hand selected personally by the Peaches and Petals team. The included items range from books, household items, gift items and are usually within a monthly box theme. There can be other items included, depending on the box and theme for the month.
Each month Peaches and Petals strives to make sure the items are useful, stylish and high quality while maintaining the thematic feeling. If you are interested see previous box reviews here.
The July 2016 box included the following within the “Dance to the Music” theme including:
Boombotix Boombot Mini Bluetooth Speaker: The first thing I noticed about this speaker was the SUPER shade of blue. As regular readers can attest, I am a fan of the color blue. This speaker has a clip so that you can attach it to your bag, or even your umbrella for your music to go anywhere with you! While this was not the loudest speaker, the sound quality was good and it provided a nice additional sound and would get any party started.
Chroma Lights Temporary Hair Color: I have always been a fan of coloring my hair – it is the easiest and least permanent way to make a change to my hair, but change my look. This crazy hair coloring began when I was 18 years old and had the freedom and bravery to make these choices. Now I color my hair to cover grey and surprise Jason. This is a temporary red color that makes a big impact.
Cool Core – The Chill Tube Cooling Towel: With the onset of summer comes more walks with neighbors and friends. This was a nice addition on my last walk and I found it to keep me drier. It is a fabric blend that is made to wick away sweat.
Makeup Remover Wipes: There is nothing I love more than a good wipe. I find that there is a convenience when the wipes are pre-moistened. Since I am not an all day/everyday make-up wearer, I used this to clean my face and it worked well, while being refreshing.
Flower Headband: One of my favorite flowers are the daisy and sunflowers. I have barrettes with giant sunflowers and now I have a headband with daisy’esque flowers on it. Completing the band is a nice brown and I found it blended well with my hair.
