Lafe’s Natural BodyCare: Active Twist Stick Review and Giveaway
As a native San Diegian, it is a rare day where the temperature becomes unbearable. These past couple of weeks it has been record-setting hot.
There is something that I should tell you is that I do not handle heat well and neither does my body. Sadly when the heat index rises, so does my sweat levels. This can be embarrassing, since I am not a gal that likes to have any adverse odor coming from my region. I am sensitive and I am picky when it comes to my personal hygiene. Despite my pickiness I am always open to trying something new and different, as with the case with Lafe’s Natural BodyCare Deodorants.

Since I have such a propensity for sweating, shortly after the Natural Products Expo I reached out to Lafe’s Natural BodyCare. I was sent the Active Citrus and Bergamot for review so that I may try out their natural deodorant.
During these hot summer months I try very hard to keep my skin soft and smooth and that includes my underarms. It probably goes without saying but Lafe’s had their work cut out for them and my sweat levels.
The first time I used this deodorant was when I was not actually leaving the house but needed the deodorant. I spent about 2 hours in a hot room, constant motion and despite the wetness being present, the stench my body creates was not. It passed my first test.
The second time, I felt confident wearing this and going out in public without fear or my odor clearing the area. I did my typical Saturday routine which includes a couple runs in and out of the car, carrying items, and walking around sometimes in direct sunlight – again it had its work cut out with me.
I am happy to report that again, despite the wetness being present the odor was not. I was interested to learn why this was, and learned that our bodies are created to naturally eliminate toxins through our lymphatic system. What this essentially means is that our bodies know what to do – just need to let them have the chance.
Each of Lafe’s products are aluminum free, cruelty free, gluten-free, made with 100% essential oil, and are 100% natural. In addition each formula is certified by the NPA and ECOCert to have 24 hour protection. Not only do they have the twist sticks, but also roll-ons, sprays and crystals.
I was very impressed that I did not notice a adverse odor coming from me, and my underarms were soft. The fact remains that I am a person who needs a anti-perspirant, and a little help keeping the sweat levels down, but I really liked Lafe’s. I will be using this again, and especially when the sweat levels drop, and I still need odor protection (think winter/fall).

Oh. That’s a simple question! I much prefer the cold! I don’t do the heat, at all. Though that doesn’t mean I like it to be freezing. But just the hot temperatures… they seriously make me feel so horrible.
