Organizing for Your Lifestyle Review

Organizing for Your Lifestyle: Adaptable Inspirations Socks to Suitcases Review + Giveaway

Organizing Your LifestyleAs many people might be aware I live in what some would consider a tiny house, we call it our “Shrinky Dink” house.

Since we live in such a small home every space is vital and each space must be maximized whenever and wherever possible. There are many boxes stacked on shelves and labels are used all the time.

I am always open to finding new tips and when I saw an opportunity to review Organizing for Your Lifestyle: Adaptable Inspirations from Socks to Suitcases by Jane Stoller.

Triple T Studios: Pretty in Pink Cat Wallet Giveaway

Triple T Studios: Pretty in Pink Wallet Giveaway

Pink WalletCat’s are funny creatures that are creatures of habit, but sometimes there are exceptions … let me explain. Our house has 3 sleeping spots that are popular with our cats – the yellow pillow I made them from one of our old  pillows (which they seem to love), on the back of the couch and a dog bed that sits by the door (this gives them a perfect window to look out). The odd part of  our cats is that they will totally abandon one of the spots and use one exclusively for a couple of weeks, and then move on to another spot that is totally out of the norm.

I love this aspect of cats – I love thinking what they must be thinking to make them move into otherwise abandoned spots. I have always believed that they have their own thoughts and do have a level of thought that many people underestimate.

A couple of months ago I was introduced to Triple T Studios, and this could not have been a better introduction. I am a supporter of not only my cats, but all cats. One of the products available on their site is a Kitten Wallet which is just beyond feline themed!

Clutter Rehab Review

Clutter Rehab Review

I have always been an organized person – I love my labels, my boxes and my “systems”. I remember when I was young I would offer to clean and organize the kitchen cabinets – I would clean them and then label where everything belonged driving family and visitors alike crazy, since things were always moved around. This fascination of organization is nothing new, but has been raised to a new level since starting this blog.

As a review blogger a sense of control and organization is almost as vital as the ability to write a review. I am constantly filtering through product, cardboard boxes and deadlines. I want to make sure I write the reviews in a timely manner, and that the items are represented in the best light I can put them in. I am constantly revising and updating my review systems, to help efficient and effectiveness.

I am always looking for new tips. tricks and “inside” organizational techniques. Naturally when I had the opportunity to review an organization themed book I thought this might be the answer and would give me the opportunity to create some real systems in my house. I received Clutter Rehab; 101 Tips and Tricks to Become an Organization Junkie and Love It! by Laura Wittman and began to read.

Smead Office Supplies Review

Smead – Redrope Tuff File Pocket and 3-in-1 SuperTab Section Folder Review

Smead File FoldersI have always loved the idea of organization and office supplies. When I was young my idea of a fun time was sorting items into colors, or themes and then placing them for display. When I got older I discovered the world of office supplies and was amazed that there were entire stores dedicated to this.

My father worked from home while I was growing up, so the need for organization and the utilization of office supplies were essential. The most difficult part was when the file folders tore and no longer served their function in life. The files that I had to reorganize were thick and not strong enough for the amount of paper work contained in them.

When I recently received the Smead Redrope TUFF File Pockets and the 3-in-1 SuperTab Section Folder. I remembered those frustrating days of reorganization.

MACO Dissolvable Labels Review

MACO – Dissolvable Labels Review

Maco Dissolvable LabelsWhen Jason and I began dating he had no idea that I was a nut for office supplies, but there were clues. I would disappear for hours in the aisles of Staples with my father, debating the color intensity of the new Sharpies vs other brands. Once I moved in with Jason the signs became clearer and his world started to become a bit more organized. The first thing I tackled in the organization department were his books – his favorite genre of book is fantasy so I wanted to make those easy to get to in his collection. I proceeded to organize whenever I could but our living environment was as sparse as small so there were few organizing opportunities.

That was almost six and half years ago and I am even more passionate about organization now. I am a big believer in making the most of the space we are given and utilize shelves and decorative boxes whenever possible. I often swap out the contents of the boxes depending on current needs for storage which leaves a little to much sticky residue from labels on the boxes. To my label loving, organizing  spirit – I think I have come upon the perfect solution: MACO Dissolvable Laser/Ink Jet Labels. I was sent a variety of 3 packages of labels from Shoplet to review and evaluate and included the following labels: MACO Dissolvable Labels – a 1.5×2.5 oval set which is a 8 1/2×11 sheet with 5 sheets/18 labels per sheet and a total of 90 labels, MACO Dissolvable Labels -Oval – This is a 1.5 x 2.5 oval set with 4 labels per sheet/12 sheets and a total of 48 labels and MACO Laser/Ink Jet Dissolvable Labels – a 2″ diameter sticker on 8 1/2 x 11 sheet with 5 sheets/12 labels per sheet and a total of 60 labels.
