Bain de Terre: Lavender Color Enhancing Hair Care Duo Review

Bain de Terre: Lavender Color Enhancing Shampoo and Conditioner Review + Giveaway

When I was young and I would dye my hair, my friends would think I was crazy that I would give up my sandy blonde color for a shocking red or deep purple color. Now that I am older I realize what my friends were talking about – people pay for my natural hair color.

While I still love to color my hair from time to time, I can appreciate my natural color and am starting to prefer it more as I age. When I saw the color enhancing line and colors of hair care from Bain de Terre I was immediately interested in seeing if this would enhance my already natural color.

Stampin’ Up: Day at the Beach Wood-Mount Stamp Set Review + Giveaway

When Stampin’s Up released their new Celebrations Catalog and I saw a beach inspired stamp set I was filled with happiness.

The reason that I was filled with such happiness is that I live close to the Pacific Ocean and I try to share the ocean with the people I care about that do not live here.

Short of packaging and shipping beach sand, there is a couple alternate ways I share the loce of the coast starting with teh cards. I have a vast collection of beach and ocean inspired stickers, but have loved the look and personalization of stamps. This new Day at the Beach Wood-Mounted Stamp Set had every stamp needed to create a beach day on a card.

Back to the Roots: Garden-in-a-Can Review

Back to the Roots: Garden-in-a-Can Basil + Cilantro Review

Ever since we started cooking our own dinners and relying on pre-packaged meals less, the addition of spices and herbs is forefront in the cooking process.

In light of the fact that we love cooking with fresh herbs, we had begun toying with the idea of growing our own herbs. The problem with this was that we live in a smaller home, and storage and space to grow is not only limited but homeowners regulations are abound about planting. Since we have a nice size porch, we decided that we could dedicate an area on the top and bottom levels towards our own herb gardens. Each time we attempted this either dirt was an issue, weather knocking pots over was the problem or our own lack of a green thumb.

Being a fan of simplicity, and believing that timing is everything, was approached by a company called Back to the Roots, and in addition to selling items like mushroom farms, and farmhouse sets, they also sell Garden-in-a-Can. When I looked at these self-contained can’s I began to see our own grown herbs as a real option in our cooking.

Cremo Company: Cremo Moisturizer and Face Wash Review & Giveaway

Since I was raised by a man, I am a big fan of items that can be used by men and women.

I believe that while men and woman have differences in their skin care, and personal needs, I also believe we are similar in our wishes for skin care.

A couple of months ago I had the opportunity to review a skin care company called Cremo that makes simple shaving creams and skin care that both men and women can use. When they told me that they had a face wash and moisturizer I knew that we would want to try it.

Pet Treater Monthly Subscription Box Review – January 2017

Pet Treater Monthly Subscription Box Review – January 2017

As far back as I can remember I have loved animals and have always had a imagination where animals are concerned.

When I was young I thought that animals had their own language and could communicate with each other cats and dogs. As I have gotten older I have realized they do have their own language – Love. This is a simple language that we all understand, but it is all animals know.

Since the days go by faster than the days before it is important during these days to remember our pets, and how the love you. When I saw this months Pet Treater and the theme “Cheers to Another “Dog” Gone Year”, was reminded to stop and speak my animals language as the years pass by. Continue reading

Simply Earth Monthly Subscription Box Review – February 2017

Simply Earth: Essential Oil Recipe Box – Be Healthy – February 2017 – Review + Giveaway

As I get older, the less I want to put harmful chemicals in my body. The more that time passes the more I realize our natural immune systems can kick in and really do more than over the counter medicines can. When the natural immune systems needs help, many people turn to essential oils to give nature a boost.

Since I live in San Diego, the weather can be cold one day and warm the next, which wrecks havoc on the sinuses. During this time of sinus issues, over the counter remedies have unwanted side effects so essential oils are a nice alternative. A month ago I reviewed Simply Earth and their monthly subscription box, so when I saw this month’s was healthy focused I was again eager to try out some essential oil health remedies.

Dr. Jacobs Naturals: Loofa Exfoliating Castile Bar Soaps Review

Dr. Jacobs Naturals: Loofa Exfoliating Castile Bar Soaps – Review and Giveaway

One of my favorite soaps to use is castile soap. This is one of the most gentle, most versatile and adaptable soaps that is made.

When I was young and first introduced to the miracle of castile soap. My father shared that there was a gentle soap that I could use that would not irritate my skin. I inquired how he had this previously unknown to me, piece of knowledge. After a small chuckle and an exhale, he sahred with me that yes this was common knowledge.

One of my favorite activities of last year was attending the Natural Products Expo because with my attendance I discovered companies I would not have discovered otherwise. One of these such companies was Dr. Jacob Naturals, and since then I have been actively watching the social media. Recently I saw that they have released a set of exfoliating bar soaps, I was eager to try them.

Dave’s Gourmet Specialty Sauces Review

Dave’s Gourmet Specialty Sauces: Creamy Parmesan Romano Pasta Sauce and Wild Mushroom Pasta Sauce Review + Giveaway

I have mentioned in the past that my husband comes from an Italian family. There are stories of his youth that involve large plates of pasta, zucchini boats, lasagna, salads and of course garlic bread.

While these are fond memories, those days have passed for the most part and our own cooking limits the quantities of food selections dramatically. The one thing that has not changed is the love of sauces that he has. The one thing is that since he grew-up on authentic sauces, he is somewhat picky about the pasta sauces he eats now.

When I saw Dave’s Gourmet and their line of pasta sauces I thought that maybe Jason would find a pasta sauce that would remind him of those days of endless pasta meals.
