Gourmet Gift Baskets: From The Heart Gift Tower Review

Gourmet Gift Baskets: From The Heart Gift Tower Review + Giveaway

Each year when the middle of February rolls around, I see more declarations of love from my social media feeds, to late night television. The downside to this is that I am a believer that instead of choosing one date in February to declare our love for loved ones we should show them that love each day of their lives.

In light of this feeling, I think that random acts and loving gifts are wonderful throughout the year. My favorite type of gifts are the ones that are tasty and are also useful in another way such as presented in an attractive tin or boxes. When I saw From The Heart Gift Tower from GourmetGiftBaskets.com I was immediately struck by the attractive boxes and the ability to enjoy the treats and the boxes for months to come.

Gourmet Gift Baskets: Deluxe Junk Food Bucket Review

Gourmet Gift Baskets: Deluxe Junk Food Basket Review + Giveaway

Ever since I began this blog, I have stopped watching movies. There is something about watching something more than an hour, that seems like a huge time commitment on something that I may or may not enjoy.

With my husbands birthday approaching I was thinking of taking a night off and having a junk food and movie marathon with him. I knew that this was the perfect idea and the only thing in question was the snack and junk food that would be included.

Since we are such a junk food house when I saw this collection from GourmetGiftBaskets.com, and saw the Deluxe Junk Food Basket I knew that this would be a good gift for my husband’s birthday and an accompanying movie night.

Cremo: Lavender Bliss Shave Cream Review

Cremo Company: Lavender Bliss Shaving Cream Review & Giveaway

Recently I had the opportunity to try Cremo Company and their men’s and women’s shaving creams, as well as their face wash and moisturizer. Each of these products are great, and live by a little goes a long way.

When they informed me that they had released a Lavender Shave Cream, I was excited to try it and have the added benefits of lavender when I shave! They also happen to make concentrated shaving creams, which means less of the product is needed to give a good shave.

Peaches & Petals Subscription Box – January 2017 Review

Peaches & Petals Subscription Box – January 2017 Review

There is funny thing that happens, when the calendar switches over to the new year, it is almost as if the reset button has been hit. There is a general feeling that with the new year comes new opportunities to try something new, engage in a new hobby or changing entire habits.

While I have the best intentions each new year I have little ability to carry through with resolutions much longer than the first month of the year. The one thing that the new year can do is bring new opportunities and new surprises, which is my resolution for the new year.

One of the best surprises that I have discovered are monthly subscription boxes. Since the theme for the January Peaches and Petals boxes was “2017 Brings New Surprises” it seemed very timely and appropriate for my outlook on 2017. Each items are appropriate, and useful while constantly remaining in theme.

Crayola: Color Wonder On-The-Go Review

Crayola: Color Wonder On-The-Go Review + Giveaway

When I was young one of my favorite things to do when we were at restaurants was to color. There was something magical and special that while the adults talked about topics way above my head, I could be in my own world coloring. At times it would not matter how long the meal was as long as I had my coloring books.

The biggest challenge I had was the transportation of the coloring books and the coloring implements. I used bags, but if the crayons spilled out and were left in the car on a hot day, that would mean a new set was needed. After a while I got a smaller bag, and tried to condense everything I needed in a neat stack. Despite my best efforts, these methods never worked.

When I recently saw the Crayola Color Wonder On-The-Go sets, I wondered where they were all those years ago.

StyleWe.com Review

Stylewe.com Fashion Review + Site Credit Giveaway

Admittedly I am not that hip on fashion as I would like to be, I value comfort over style on most days. Since I spent 90% of my time on my couch with a laptop the need for anything more than comfortable pants and a comfortable shirt is rarely needed.

Notice I used the word rarely, not never. There are some times when I need something more formal that outfits made of flannel and in those occasions I like to look nice while retaining the comfort that I am so used to. One of my top prioritize when looking for clothes is that I remain budget conscious – keep the cost vs. wear in perspective. The goal is to look nice while still feeling like I got a good deal.

When I was approached by online company Stylewe my first priority was to make sure that the items were budget conscious while remaining good-looking.
