Dave’s Gourmet Specialty Sauces Review

Dave’s Gourmet Specialty Sauces: Creamy Parmesan Romano Pasta Sauce and Wild Mushroom Pasta Sauce Review + Giveaway

I have mentioned in the past that my husband comes from an Italian family. There are stories of his youth that involve large plates of pasta, zucchini boats, lasagna, salads and of course garlic bread.

While these are fond memories, those days have passed for the most part and our own cooking limits the quantities of food selections dramatically. The one thing that has not changed is the love of sauces that he has. The one thing is that since he grew-up on authentic sauces, he is somewhat picky about the pasta sauces he eats now.

When I saw Dave’s Gourmet and their line of pasta sauces I thought that maybe Jason would find a pasta sauce that would remind him of those days of endless pasta meals.

The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Dave’s Gourmet. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.

I was generously sent a 25 oz jar of Wild Mushroom Pasta Sauce and Creamy Parmesan Romano All Natural Pasta Sauce.

The first one was Wild Mushroom Pasta Sauce and since I LOVE mushrooms I was eager to give this a try! This Wild Mushroom sauce has a solid savory flavor that seems to come from the porcini and shiitake mushrooms. In addition the sauce includes a combinations of garlic, sherry wine, sage, and tomatoes. I loved the mushrooms included in the bites, and there was a fair amount of mushrooms included.

The second sauce I tried was the Creamy Parmesan Romano Pasta Sauce. This second sauce includes aged Romano and Parmesan cheeses. Also included are ripe California tomatoes, premium California garlic, extra virgin olive oil and fresh herbs that makes this sauce a combination of cheesy and flavorful.

These are great tasting sauces that were not watery, and adhered well to the pasta’s I used, which were spaghetti and tortellini. Each of Dave’s Gourmet Sauces are gluten-free, made in the USA and an excellent source of vitamins.

Each of the jar’s of pasta sauce were tasty and flavorful and I am happy to report that Jason liked them. If you are looking for a natural, tasty and flavorful sauce then I recommend giving Dave’s Gourmet line of pasta sauces a try!
