Buttons Galore & More Review

Buttons Galore & More  Review and Giveaway

Love on the fenceWhen Jason and I bought our house a dream of mine came true – I got my dedicated craft room. One of my first priorities was to create art from the materials contained in my craft room. I had always dreamed of having my craft room and I began dreaming of all the things I would create within those 4 walls.

The best way to describe my craft room, is said best by the young lady of a friend of ours when she said “coolest room ever”. My goal was to create a creative space that was filled with love and send a message to everyone who visited that this was a space to not only create but was filled with love.

When I attended the Craft and Hobby Mega Show in Anaheim in January I was introduced to Buttons Galore & More. The first thing that I noticed was the paper crafting project feature wall, as well as the 40 feet of buttons contained within the booth. Shortly after CHA 2016, I was sent a selection of buttons for review and crafting.

Good Earth Beauty: Shower Whip & Scrub Review

Good Earth Beauty: Cooper Naturals Shower Whip & Scrub Review and Giveaway

Whipped Body ScrubThere is a current trend sweeping the nations cities – the tiny house movement. Without really realizing this sweeping and ecological trend, my husband and I bought our own tiny home. We live in about 800 square feet and sadly, only a very small portion of that square footage is dedicated to storage.

Despite this tiny bathroom, I have learned that the maximization of space is key. I have come up with creative ways to use the space that is provided and shelves, baskets and decorative displays are all utilized to the best of their ability.

My bathroom takes very little of this square footage overall and so every space matters more than in a typical home. Due to this simple fact of my life, I rely on creative ways to display the products that I love. I recently was sent a 16oz tub of Shower Whip & Scrub “Rose” All Natural Cooper Naturals and the method of storage is perfect.

True Gentleman Jerky Review

True Gentleman Jerky Review and Giveaway

True Jerky on displayA funny thing has stated happening recently. My taste buds are not what they once where – let me explain further. The first thing that started happening was that I have noticed a spike in the increase of water I consume. I have never been a large water drinker, but Jason is, and it is starting rubbing off on me.

The second thing that has happened is that I can taste a pure food versus a food full of preservatives. Instead of the preservative laden snacks I used to eat, I have discovered that the preservative free food is much more flavorful. I have begun to learn the value of this quality where snack foods are concerned.

The quest for healthier snack foods was on my mind when I recently attended the Natural Expo West Show in Anaheim. I decided to attempt to focus my efforts when I was walking and came upon True Gentlemens Jerky. The thing that got my attention were the  unique flavors that I had not seen before.

Smart-Fab Review and Project

Smart-Fab Review and Giveaway

Smart Fab pictureEach year the craft and hobby industries stores, media and crafter’s get together in one wonderful weekend in January. For the first time in 2016 I was able to attend this show. My hope was to discover new things and new crafting mediums that I would be able to share with my readers.

The 2016 show was held in Anaheim and this year featured hundred of exhibitors – all showing what the year had in store for their brands. Upon entry, I took a moment to take everything in and after gaining my bearings I set off on my quest of discovery.

The first company that I came across was Smart-Fab, with their rainbow of color that was scattered throughout their booth. Not only did the bright colors get my attention, but the material itself was so versatile and easy to use.

Sun Bum Lip Balm Review

Sun Bum Lip Balm Review and Giveaway

Sun Bum Key LimeAs I have gotten older I have realized that life is full of coincidence, and how timing can really make the difference. I want to share with you a great example this coincidences. Back in February I had the opportunity to review Sun Bum’s Shampoo and Conditioner. One of the things that have remained with me is the Sun Bum logo.

The Sun Bum logo is a hefty, sunglasses wearing gorilla – something that stays with you and stands out in a sea of generic logos. So, with this memorable and recently seen logo, it was easy to notice it when I saw it out my car window one day. I squealed with delight and immediately when home and investigated further. I was excited to learn that their West Coast Office is going to be within 2 miles of my house.

The new West Coast office is going to house offices and a concept store! I am very excited to see this in my community. So it probably goes without saying that when I had the opportunity to review Sun Balm Lip Balm, I was excited!

Stampin’ Up – Shine On Paper Pack

Stampin’ Up – Shine On Paper Pack –  Review and Giveaway

Shine on Both sidesI have a confession … I love paper. I have a collection that is as tall as I am of 12 x 12 paper and I add to it constantly. I learned early on that I was going to have have a problem with paper. The hardest time I have had is when I was forced to store my paper in a outdoor shed. I worried whenever it rained, and wondered if my coveted collection would be water logged.

It took a couple years, and the acquisition of a house with a dedicated craft room, that I was able to reclaim my paper collection. Despite being in a non-water proofed shed, my paper survived and when all was said and done I had very little loss of paper. Since I now have a craft room and a home for my paper I am constantly adding to it, and expanding my collection.

It probably goes without saying, but when I head that Stampin’ Up wanted a little help getting the word out about their “Shine On Specialty Designer Series Paper” and were also willing to give one away, I jumped at the chance!

Avery Elle Alphabet and Stamp Review

Avery Elle Alphabet Stamp Set and Ink Review and Giveaway

Avery Elle Stamp and Pigment Ink SetAs regular readers can attest, I love to not only send but receive a handmade card. About 6 years ago, I decided that I wanted to have a gathering for my birthday (for those keeping track it was my 35th birthday). I decided that I could have purchased invitations but decided that a handmade invite would be a good way to go.

The handmade cards had a floral theme and by making the cards myself, it was ensuring that the people I invited were truly the people I cared about. The important thing to know about me is that I am very careful and sensitive to the who I send my handmade items to. I spend time, money and love in each project so I tend to share them with the people I know will appreciate the effort involved.

When I was at the Craft and Hobby Show I came across a stamp company called Avery Elle, that also happens to be headquartered in my hometown, San Diego. When I saw the stamps displayed I knew that I had to share with you all, my new find.

Balmshot Lip Balm Review

Balmshot SPF 15 Lip Balm Review and Giveaway

BalmShot 4 ProductsI have mentioned how lucky I am to live at the beach and on the coast of San Diego. While the sunny days outnumber the cloudy days, there is a downside – chapped lips.

Since I live close to a convienent store, I often take walks to get a coffee drink or to get laundry quarters. There are days that the wind coming off the ocean and reaching my lips is a bit harsher than I am able to handle. The other problem I suffer from is lack of water in my daily routine. I try as I might, but just do not get the water intake I should have which results in dry chapped lips.

I go through an adequate amount of lip balm, and am always looking once that moisturizes, protects and has a pleasant flavor. When I was recently contacted by a company whose lip balm is in gun shells, it got my attention. Balmshot Lip Balm comes in one of the more unique packages I have seen, as well was being a beeswax SPF 15 lip balm.

World of Munchies: Sweet Tooth Box Review

World of Munchies: Sweet Tooth Box – Review & Giveaway

International Sweet Tooth BoxAs time passes I have noticed that my taste buds are not what they one were. I tend to run trains on items. Let me explain further – I will get a snack in my head, act as though it is a 5 alarm fire to procure this item, I will then eat only this snack for the next 4 to 6 weeks. As quick as this occurs, the opposite also is true, I get tired of the item almost as quick. This makes life for Jason a little on the frustrated side.

Try as I might to lessen his frustration, I am usually unsuccessful therefore leaving him with fewer snack options than he might prefer. The one thing he always does is encourage me to try new snacks. I am proud to say that with the creation and execution of this blog that is exactly what I have begun doing.

I have had the opportunity in the past to review previous World of Munchies boxes, as they are the perfect way to sample new snacks without the commitment. One of the offerings of boxes that they have is called the Sweet Tooth box. Each Sweet Tooth box you will receive 7-9 items in each box, selected from various international snacks that you may know and may love. The most amazing thing about World of Munchies is was started by the mind of an 11-year-old entrepreneur.

Avery Easy Align Self-Laminating ID Labels Review

Avery Easy Align Self-Laminating ID Labels Review and Giveaway

Avery 00757I am an organizer at heart. I love the thought that everything has its place and when I acquire more of something, it also has a home. Many times I put things in boxes, but then I forget to label what is in the box, and then I end up with 3 boxes of the same type items. This frustrates me to no end, and I have yet to find a solution that I am happy with. I have tried paper labels, and I find that over time they not only peel off but they start to look dirty. I have long wished that I could wipe the surface of the label and keep it adhered to the surface.

I am excited to say I might have found a solution to this organizing plight – the Avery Easy Align Self-Laminating ID Labels.
