Balmshot SPF 15 Lip Balm Review and Giveaway
I have mentioned how lucky I am to live at the beach and on the coast of San Diego. While the sunny days outnumber the cloudy days, there is a downside – chapped lips.
Since I live close to a convienent store, I often take walks to get a coffee drink or to get laundry quarters. There are days that the wind coming off the ocean and reaching my lips is a bit harsher than I am able to handle. The other problem I suffer from is lack of water in my daily routine. I try as I might, but just do not get the water intake I should have which results in dry chapped lips.
I go through an adequate amount of lip balm, and am always looking once that moisturizes, protects and has a pleasant flavor. When I was recently contacted by a company whose lip balm is in gun shells, it got my attention. Balmshot Lip Balm comes in one of the more unique packages I have seen, as well was being a beeswax SPF 15 lip balm.
I received the following scents of Balmshot including Classic, Cool Mint, Pure Pink and Pure Pink Camo which are both vanilla mint.
Each of the 4 varieties had minor differences but the base and packaging were the same. The lip balms are all packaged in a shot shell that has a tighter fitting cap and a smoother turning base, which makes it unique packaging stand out in a tube filled world. These lip balms offer protection against sunburn, windburn as well as chapped lips.
Of the 4 varieties I got to sample my favorite was the Vanilla Mint Lip Balm – which came in two different outer shells. The Pure Pink Camo and Pure Pink are both in vanilla mint and were very nourishing for my lips. I also tried the Classic which is a plainer flavor and Cool Mint was minty without being over board on mint. I can tell you that this will not get lost in your pocket and will always be ready without accumulating on the cap, like many lip balms do.
What I found inspiring, and what made me want to support this company is that 4 times a year they make a donation to the Mountain States Tumor Institute to assist needy women pay for mammograms, biopsies and breast cancer treatment. The donations come from the sales of their Pure Pink Camo and Pure Pink Lip Balms.
If you are looking for a nourishing lip balm that will keep your lips moisturized I recommend picking up some Balmshot – Jason has already claimed one for his daily work pocket pack!
