As a crafter my hands get abused constantly, despite mt best efforts to keep them safe.
When I work on projects I often use disposable gloves, which due to the flimsy nature, only allows for one use. I always reflect on what a waste this is, and always think I should invest in a more permanent pair for painting. When I saw that Dawn Ultra had a pair of gloves I was curious if a permanent pair really was the right idea.
The Path to Becoming a Review Blogger
A couple of years ago I had the desire to start a blog, but did not know where to begin. I started by writing a couple of posts about the daily mail that I received. Much of the items were free and sent to me via sampling programs and such.
It became clear very quickly that while I thought that was a viable topic, it was not enough to fill an entire blog. I began to brainstorm, and that is when I received the suggestion to do product reviews.

There is no doubt that I am a creative person. I love to up-cycle items in my home, I love to use paper to craft cards and scrapbook layouts and I love to just doodle.
My entire life I have thought it would be neat to have the ability to draw cute things on the pages and cards I create, but I am never able to get past a bloated looking stick figure. As a crafter, I am dismayed that I can not draw event the simplest of images, and made a resolution that this year I would work on changing that.
Timing is a constant theme on this blog, and this item is not exempt from a case of perfect timing. When I received an email with an opportunity to review the How to Draw Cool Stuff – 3 Book Series I could not believe the timing, because the night before I started looking for a books that would help my drawing skills.
Stampin’ Up – Birthday Bright Project Kit Review + Giveaway
When I was young I knew my now husband since we were friends and hung around the same social circle. At the time I considered him my best male friend, yet there was one thing about him I did not know – he is from a large family. Now when I say a large family, I am not kidding – just his immediate family of sisters, parents and us there are 13 of us. That is starting from 5 people to 13 now, and this is not uncommon as you dig further into his extended family. The most people in one branch of the not to extended family rings in at 16 people with what started with 6 people.
Since there are so many people, and it seems to be constantly growing, there are many events, birthdays and moments to celebrate. Given the fact that there are so many special occasions, the need for cards is constant and ever-expanding.
The fact is that as much as we want to personally celebrate each individual achievement, birth, wedding, anniversary or seasonal holiday, it is impossible with a family of over 50 people and that is just in town! Card’s are simple easy sentiment’s that can be sent anytime, and for almost any occasion. With a simple card, the recipient knows we are thinking of them even if we can not attend, so when I got the Birthday Bright Project Kit I was able to make some cute cards, and stash them for the celebrations ahead. Petstages: Mix & Scratch – Channel Scratcher Review & Giveaway
Our cats are indoor cats, and as far as we can tell they are happy with this decision that we have made for them.
The reason that we made this decision was as selfish for ourselves as it was selfish for them. When we adopted them we debated making them indoor/outdoor cats, but since we live on a major road, if they happen to make their way out it could end deadly for them. For this reason, and about a million more, they are now happy indoor house cats. Since they live their life in the confines of our home it is important to both of us that we give them the most stimulating and full life humanly possible.
Back when I first started reviewing cat toys I came across a company called Petstages that has a complete line of toys for cats (and dogs). The thing that we loved about these toys is that they stimulate the cats mind, as well as their reward system that keeps them hunting and playing, all while providing exercise in a safe environment that we control.

Ever since I was a kid I have had issues with my hair tangling. One of my most dreaded moments was when I needed to get the tangles out of my hair. I would cry and moan and groan. There would be times that I would use a detangler, and after half the bottle my hair would be a little better than when I started.

Often times my review items find their way to me by pure coincidence and other ones are by chance. When I heard that a company I have worked with in the past now is working with an Indian Spiced Popcorn company I was intrigued.
My sister in law is married to a French-Morrocan man, and thus my nieces and nephews are adept and used to the Indian spices. Since our household is not as familiar with these, I decided to seize on this opportunity in hopes that I would be able to recommend something yummy to my extended family. The company I was hoping to share was Masala Pop which makes an Indian inspired line of Masala popcorn’s.
My Freaky Saturday seeing Disney’s Freaky Friday at the La Jolla Playhouse
There is nothing comparable to live theater, and musicals are no exception. I have been going to live theater shows at the La Jolla Playhouse since I was a young teenager. I have seen Rent, Shakespeare plays, one man shows and huge ensembles, all from 1st or 2nd row center seats. Now that I am older, my father’s season tickets never go to waste since Jason has the same love of theater I have.
Since we are such live theater fans, when we were asked if we wanted my father’s tickets to Freaky Friday we jumped at the chance. I grew up watching the original movie and then the mid 2000’s version.
I have always loved the story of a mother and daughter switching places, dealing with each other’s problems and finally seeing the value in the other side. I was intrigued and excited to see this story in a musical version.
