Masala Pop: Indian Spiced Popcorn Review + Giveaway
Often times my review items find their way to me by pure coincidence and other ones are by chance. When I heard that a company I have worked with in the past now is working with an Indian Spiced Popcorn company I was intrigued.
My sister in law is married to a French-Morrocan man, and thus my nieces and nephews are adept and used to the Indian spices. Since our household is not as familiar with these, I decided to seize on this opportunity in hopes that I would be able to recommend something yummy to my extended family. The company I was hoping to share was Masala Pop which makes an Indian inspired line of Masala popcorn’s.
The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Masala Pop/Cosmos Creations. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.
I received an assortment of Masala Pop including Chai Masala, Savory Masala or Tamarind Sesame Masala Indian Spiced Popcorn.
The first flavor I tried was the Savory Masala with Lentil Chips. I am not sure why, but when I opened the package and saw the chips I was surprised despite reading the description. I was expecting that this would be my favorite since it was the one with the least amount of visible spice. Once I tried it I could taste the included Tumeric and the Spicy Masala, which made for a savory popcorn, but not my favorite of the three.
The second flavor was Chai Masala which is made of Assam tea, coconut sugar and warming spices. This reminded me of a warm chai drink, and had the ideal amount of sweetness. I really loved this sweet popcorn.
The third popcorn flavor was a Tamarind Sesame, which also included lentil chips, coconut sugar and spicy Garam Masala spices. Of the three flavors this was the perfect mix of sweet and savory and made for a delicious popcorn. This was my favorite of the three flavors, and the one that I know my sister’s kids would also love.
Each of Masala Pop Popcorn is air-popped and organic, non-GMO corn kernels. Masala Pop is then tossed in authentic Indian spices and mindful amounts of organic oils and sweeteners making this a tasty and health snack.
For the past 8 years I have been curious about these spices, and I am so happy that I had the opportunity to try these popcorn. Popcorn is one of the most versatile snacks and this popcorn proves that. If you are looking for a different popcorn, that will awake your taste buds, this is the popcorn you are looking for.
I not only recommend this to you, but also to my sister in law – you all will love it!
