Calming Dot to Dot Review

Calming Dot to Dot: Intricate, Stunning, Stress-Relieving Patterns for Adults  Review and Giveaway

Calming Dot to DotAs adults it is sometimes frowned upon to take a moment to ourselves and do a puzzle. If we do happen to take that moment to ourselves, the challenge to find a quick and easy puzzle, that will be entertaining and relaxing becomes the challenge.

When I received the book Calming Dot to Dot: Intricate, Stunning, Stress-Relieving Patterns for Adults by Emily Wallis for review it was clear to me that this could be a quick and easy puzzle book for even the most time restricted of people.

The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Ulysses Press. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.

Calming Dot to Dot: Intricate, Stunning, Stress-Relieving Patterns for Adults by Emily Wallis is a compilation of various dot to dot’s of Animals, People, Nature and Buildings.

Pattern Not doneThe basic idea is that you have an image minus the lines but numbers. The numbers are to be connected with lines in a sequential numerical order. The amount of dots varies but most images hover around 400 connections.

The book contains a nice note from the author and suggests each images takes about fifteen minutes. I would say this is true if you have perfect vision, and can find each number on your first glance – it took me closer to 23 minutes. I would recommend using a pencil since I did find myself making errors and needing to erase the lines.

Completed Dot to DotAfter you complete your image you can either trace over it with a pen or color the image in, or just leave it shadowed. If you do color this image I would recommend a piece of paper in between the pages to prevent bleed through.

The book is compact at 96 pages and measuring 7.5 by 9.25, which means it can fit in a diaper bag, backpack, carrying bag or larger purse. This would be perfect when your kids are at the park, waiting in doctors offices or even in that quiet moment of your day.

When you are an adult, finding time to do puzzles can sometimes be stigmatizing, and with a quick easy book like this it removes that puzzle stigma and replaced it with dots. I highly recommend this fun and easy dot to dot to pass your time!

This looks awesome. When I was a child, I liked the dot-to-dot puzzles the best. My daughter loves to do the dot-to-dot puzzles and also loves the adult coloring, so this book would make a perfect Christmas present for both of us!.
