Our idea of an entertaining evening is sitting around the house, either playing games, watching a movie or playing on our respective computers.

When Jason and I first began dating we spent a lot of time around home and talking. We have been friends for years, and as we have gotten older we have discovered that we appreciate the simple art of staying home with the cats and playing a game.

Recently I discovered the art of melting chocolate and the art of covering items in chocolate.

Shortly after I discovered this I attempted to make my own dark chocolate covered pretzels. To say it was difficult to make would be an understatement. The concept of putting sprinkles on the chocolate was way beyond my scope of abilities at the time. It was then I decided that i would purchase these in the future and not attempt to make these again.

When I was contacted recently from GourmetGiftBaskets.com, and saw their Christmas Pretzels I knew that I had to give these a try since they looked so much better than my feeble attempt.

Adult Coloring Book: Celebration Edition Stress Relieving Patterns Review + Giveaway

One of my most memorable celebration’s was recent 40th birthday, in it’s simplicity I received surprises and a night that took me back 25 years earlier.

For this memorable occasion, Jason and I decided to keep it easy and simple with a gathering of our friends and family for pizza. We decided on a local pizza restaurant that was frequented to by us was teenagers. I ended up with a surprise when a friend I have known since I was 16 surprised me and attended. After pizza, that included our parents, a couple of friends came back to our house and throughout the rest of the evening had a revolving door of friends hanging out. Finally after midnight, things slowed down and I was able to reflect on what a special 40th birthday I had.

Most celebrations that commemorate big birthday and events can be incredibly stressful. It was a conscious decision that we kept it easy and stress-free. When I received the Adult Coloring Book: Stress Relieving Patterns Celebration Edition by Blue Star Premier and thought that the next time I do have a stressful situation, this book will be the perfect antidote. One of my favorite things when I was a teenager and I hosted slumber parties one of my favorite treats were Chocolate Covered Oreos.

The holidays are here and it is time for cats of the world to assist their humans with the present wrapping in front of them. Maggee and Murfee love to walk all over the paper and listen to the crinkle under their paws.

One of my favorite thing during this season is to watch my cats as they watch the musical Christmas lights we have. There eyes dance around each light and as I wonder what is going through their minds, I find myself relaxing with the rhythm of their purrs.
