USAopoly: Tapple 10 and Rollers Games Review + Giveaway
Our idea of an entertaining evening is sitting around the house, either playing games, watching a movie or playing on our respective computers.
When Jason and I first began dating we spent a lot of time around home and talking. We have been friends for years, and as we have gotten older we have discovered that we appreciate the simple art of staying home with the cats and playing a game.
Since we are spending more and more time at home, the need for new and interesting games is a constant thought. When I recently reached out to USAopoly to review a couple of their new games, I was excited to add a couple new games to our rotation.
The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of USAopoly Inc. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.
I received a 2 games from USAopoly – (1) copy of Tapple 10 – The Flip It, Name It, Word Game and (1) copy of Rollers: A Game of Matching Die and Scoring High.
The first game I received was Tapple 10 – The Flip It, Name It, Word Game. The Tapple 10 game has a deck of 80 cards and offers 160 different categories. The wide range of topics will engage players of all ages. The game comes packed in its own travel case with sand timer for fast word fun on-the-go.
There is an included instruction booklet that describes how to play each game, and the recommended number of players & difficulty level of each game. There are 10 Games To Play Including the following: Tapple 10 Alpha, Rake ‘em In, Four in a Row, Down the Line, Head to Head, Scramble, Alpha Build, Countdown, Last Man Standing, and Under Pressure.
To play Tapple 10 is easy – the game comes with 80 circle shaped cards and a sand timer. On one side of the card features is a letter, and the other side has four categories, each in a different color. Flip the first card over to see what letter will be in play, and the color of the letter determines which of the four categories on the top card of the stack to use. The first person to shout out the correct answer wins, takes the card, and the first player to get 10 cards wins.
Each game is easy and simple to do while you wait in doctors offices, theaters and coffee shops! This would make a great “on the go” game due to its compact nature and ease. This game is perfect for people who enjoy games such as Catch Phrase, Scattegories and spelling games will enjoy this game!
The second game I received was Rollers: A Game of Matching Die and Scoring High. The basic idea behind this game is dice – if you like dice games, you will enjoy this one. Rollers® is a new dice game of fast rolling moments, quick combo making, and the art of collecting chips. The object is to race to be the first player to fill up your game board by “opening” and “closing” your game board sets. With Rollers, the first player to score 5 points wins and the better you roll, the more chips other players have to pay up.
While each of these games were different, each was a lot of fun to play! Each one of these would provide HOURS of entertainment for the players and would be a hit for any recipient you chose!
