Happy Hanukkah Oreo® Cookies Review

Gourmet Gift Baskets: Happy Hanukkah Oreo® Cookies Review + Giveaway

gourmet-gift-baskets-happy-hanukkah-oreo-cookiesOne of my favorite things when I was a teenager and I hosted slumber parties one of my favorite treats were Chocolate Covered Oreos.

Truth be told, I would deliberately make my friends think they were not good so that I would have more. This plan was 1 part genius and 1 part selfish and inevitably I would end up sharing despite my deep desire to hoard them to myself.

When I was contacted recently from GourmetGiftBaskets.com, and saw their Happy Hanukkah Oreo® Cookies I was reminded of those moments of indulgence.

The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of GourmetGiftBaskets.com. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.

The Happy Hanukkah Oreo® Cookies from GourmetGiftBaskets.com is a 12 cookie collection that is accented with blue and white stars, and light blue squiggle.

oreo-cookie-happy-hanukkahThe Happy Hanukkah Oreo® Cookies Set will includes 4 – Dark Chocolate covered Oreos with blue and white stars, 4 – Milk Chocolate covered Oreos with blue and white stars and 4 – White Chocolate covered Oreos with blue lines across the cookie.

My favorite of the three varieties was the dark chocolate, followed by the milk chocolate and then the white chocolate. The chocolate on the cookies were a higher quality than you would typically encounter on a product like this. The chocolate was not to sweet and not bitter and had a melty creamy quality once in the mouth.

hannukah-cookiesAs hard as it was, I resisted the urge to eat all the cookies in one sitting and I ended up splitting the cookies with Jason.

The only downside was that there was not as much blue squiggle and blue and white stars as shown in the photo on the website. That being said, it is possible through the course of production, packaging and shipping that these details just came off. Despite this, it did not affect the cookie, and really was just more of a display issue and the cookie was very tasty.

I think that the more unique the gift the better, and it is rare when people expect cookies in the mail – the Happy Hanukkah Oreo® Cookies would make a great gift for Hanukkah or other holidays.

I eat one side of the cookie first, then I get extra cream on the second side of the cookie.

  4. John Smith

I usually just eat the whole darn cookie when I eat a sandwich cookie. Preferably after dipping it in coffee.

  5. Mary Gardner

I eat them together these days, but as a kid I always ate the cream first!

  6. Arielle

I usually eat the cookies all at once after dunking them into milk or coffee.

  7. Amy L.

I usually eat the whole cookie after submerging it on a spoon in a cup of milk!

  8. Cindy Peterson

I eat one side of the cookies without the filling. Then I nibble around the filling. Next I dunk the remaining cookie with filling into milk. That’s the way to eat an oreo

  9. Yvonne Delgado

cookie first. I like the filling as part of the cookie, but my favorite part is the cookie for sure. The combo of them together is satisfying.

I love any kind of cookie. Your blog is awesome, thank you so much. I really love OREOS!

  11. Debbi Wellenstein

Believe it or not, I eat them together. When I was a kid, I ate the cream filling first!

I like to eat the cookie all together. I don’t take them apart cause then you might have a dry, plain cookie or on the other hand just a bunch of sugar, but all together it’s awesome.

  13. Nancy

When I eat sandwich cookies, I eat the cream first and then dip the cookies in milk.

  14. Donna Clifford

I usually eat the entire cookie, unless I’m eating it with vanilla ice-cream, then I break it up in pieces.

  15. Lyndsey R.

Ohh I definitely scrape that cream off with my teeth. Then I let the Oreo sit on my tongue until it dissolves.

  16. slehan

I tear 2 cookies apart carefully, then put the two with cream together, eat the plain ones and then eat the extra cream one.
    Thanks for the contest.

I used to eat the cream first but now I like to just leave them together

  18. Kristen

I usually take off one side of cookie and eat that, then eat the other half with the creme.

  19. Christy Rivers

Most the time I dunk them but every now and again I do enjoy the cream first the dunk the cookie.

  20. Leah Shumack

I love to drown them in milk until they are on the brink of sogginess and then I eat the cookie and the creme together!
