Happy Hanukkah Oreo® Cookies Review

Gourmet Gift Baskets: Happy Hanukkah Oreo® Cookies Review + Giveaway

gourmet-gift-baskets-happy-hanukkah-oreo-cookiesOne of my favorite things when I was a teenager and I hosted slumber parties one of my favorite treats were Chocolate Covered Oreos.

Truth be told, I would deliberately make my friends think they were not good so that I would have more. This plan was 1 part genius and 1 part selfish and inevitably I would end up sharing despite my deep desire to hoard them to myself.

When I was contacted recently from GourmetGiftBaskets.com, and saw their Happy Hanukkah Oreo® Cookies I was reminded of those moments of indulgence.

Mrs. Thinster’s: Pumpkin Spice  Cookie Thins Review and Giveaway

mrs-thinsters-cookies-out-of-packageThere is no denying it, we are entering the fall season. With the fall season comes the arrival of pumpkin season.

One of my favorite things is pumpkin pie – from the crunchy crust, smooth center and whipped topping. There is nothing better and nothing rings in the holiday season quite like pumpkin does.

When I saw the Mrs. Thinster’s had released a Limited Edition flavor I knew that I had to try them.

Goodie Girl: Vanilla and Cocoa Slims Review

Goodie Girl: Vanilla and Cocoa Slims Review + Giveaway!!!!

vanilla-and-cocoa-slimsIt is no secret that I am a fan of Goodie Girl Cookies and we share them with our friends and loved ones as often as we can.

Recently my mother in law was mentioning that she loves the yearly mint cookies, but is sad she has to wait once a year to indulge in her favorite cookie. I have kept this in mind and on one of my mass Goodie Girl cookie purchases I bought her a box of Mint Slims.

I was eager to hear her opinion of these gluten-free cookies, and had to contain my excitement when she was taking her first bite. After she had a couple, she looked at me and declared that she likes these more than her previous once a year favorites. About a week later I heard that the box was no longer, and its contents empty.

I loved this moment and it reminded me of why I began the blog in the first place – to share products with people that they otherwise may not have known about. Recently Goodie Girl released a 8-pack package of Mint Slims, as well as Vanilla Slims and Cocoa Slims.

Mrs. Thinsters Cookie and Waffle Crisp Summer Giveaway!

Mrs. Thinsters: Cookie Crisps Summer 2016 Giveaway

Close Up Cookie Thins CoconutI have mentioned it in the past but I love to take strawberries or apples, cut them into bite size pieces and place them in a bowl with sugar, I let them sit after mixing them together. This creates a sweet and syrupy fruit treat. I put down a couple crispy elements and put my fruit mix on top, then top it all off with freshly whipped cream that I make.

The result is a fresh and seasonal desert that never gets to be to sweet or to much. One of my favorite crispy elements is the line of Mrs. Thinsters Crisps! I am happy to say they never get soggy and they always retain a crunch which is the perfect contrast to the syrup.

Since we are in the middle of strawberry season, it is the perfect time to have a Mrs. Thinsters Giveaway!

Mrs. Thinster’s Toasted Coconut Cookie Thins Review

Mrs. Thinster’s: Toasted Coconut  Cookie Thins Review and Giveaway

Coconut Crisps - Mrs ThinstersIt has been mentioned in the past that we are dessert people in my house. Up until recently each night Jason and I would make a macerated fruit mixture, atop a crunchy bottom, homemade whipped cream and crunchy topping.

Typically when we have these the “go-to” crunchy bottom is a selection of Mrs. Thinsters Cookie or Waffle Cookies. We have made this dessert many times, and for our friends and loved ones. One night while we were sitting enjoying an evening and dessert with friends, it was suggested that we added a toasted coconut to the top.

The topic of luck and fate is spoken of often on this blog, and this is no exception. As I was preparing to toast up some coconuts, I heard that my “go-to” crunchy element was now available in toasted coconut  in the form of Mrs. Thinsters Cookie Thins in Toasted Coconut.

Goodie Girl Spring Giveaway

Goodie Girl: Midnight in Spring Giveaway!!!!

Midnight BrownieIt has been a couple of weeks since I attended the Natural Products Expo in Anaheim and had the opportunity to meet the Goodie Girl herself – Shira Berk. I will be honest and say that I was already a fan of Goodie Girl before I met the owner, and after meeting her I am even more of a fan.

Let me share a story with you. A couple of weeks ago Jason and I went to our local Walmart because we had heard that the Goodie Girl Mint Slims were in stock and available. I would love to tell you that we only purchased a couple of boxes, but that is not the case. We ended up purchasing 8 boxes – a little over $34.00 in cookie goodness. I did tweet a photo to Goodie Girl, more to share our find and thank them than any other reason. Flash forward to a couple of weeks later where Goodie Girl and I happened to cross paths. I approached the booth, introduced myself to the Product Manager (Hi Lauren!), as well as Shira – Goodie Girl herself.

Crafted Gluten Free: Ultimate Cookie Box Review

Crafted Gluten Free – Ultimate Cookie Box Review and Giveaway

Crafted Cookie BoxWhen I was a young child I was called the “Cookie Monster” due to my love of cookies.

As I got older I moved on from store-bought cookies and began to make my own cookies. I would have slumber parties with my best friends and I would make cookies. I was recently gifted my teenage era cookbook, and each chapter is pristine and perfect – well not the cookie chapter. Even 20 years later there are dollops of butter grease and remnants of dried flour on those pages.

Now that I am even older, I find it easier to purchase pre-made cookies due to time constraints and adult responsibilities. I have difficulty finding a cookie as good as I can make. Since I have this insatiable urge for cookies it seemed only natural to review Crafted Gluten Free’s Ultimate Cookie Box.

This was not the first Crafted Gluten Free review I have done, as I have reviewed the first monthly box, but it was one of the sweetest.

Goodie Girl: 2016 Valentines Day Giveaway

Goodie Girl: Chocolate Lovers Giveaway!!!!

GoodieGirl-logo-color_4I have become quite the cookie connoisseur in the past couple years and I know a good gluten-free cookie and Goodie Girl cookies are among the best of the best I have tried. Back in July 2015 I originally reviewed a cookie company, based out of the Tribeca Neighborhood in New York City – this company was called Goodie Girl. The thing that makes Goodie Girl cookies special is that they are gluten-free, but do not taste gluten-free.

Goodie Girl takes the cookies we know and love but makes them safe for those with gluten issues. I would have to say that my favorite cookie is still the Mint Slims, the taste is identical to the yearly Girl Scout treat. My second favorite was the Chocolate Chip and it reminds me of a classic chocolate chip cookie and was similar in taste to Famous Amos cookies.
