Crafted Gluten Free Monthly Subscription Review and Giveaway – 1st Box
The other thing that I really love about monthly boxes are that many times they are supporting the small businesses by providing product but may times the box itself is a small business themselves. I appreciate local items and the reason for this is that i live in a small town within a large city and to keep the appeal and the “funkiness” of our town, small business must prevail. Even my husband works for a small local business, and while part of a multi-location company, they are also supporters of other small business.
The way I see it, for the cycle of commerce to spin, all spokes must be turning at once. It takes companies and monthly boxes to assist in bringing awareness and support to other small companies and it takes consumers purchasing the boxes supporting the small companies. It all spins and all comes back together with the overriding theme of support.
I love when I am approached by a company or box subscription service that I have not previously heard of. I also love when I receive the box and it exceeds my expectations. I recently received the first months box from Crafted Gluten Free. Let me just say that this is not your typical box offering. The first box you will receive from Crafted Gluten Free will include 9 full size items that will range from snacks, to main dish to dessert.
Crafted Gluten Free was generous enough to send me the first box that you will typically receive to sample and review.
Included in this first Crafted Gluten Free box were the following items –
G.H. Cretors Popcorn Chicago Mix: This was a mix of caramel and cheddar popcorn, and I swear I kept checking to verify it was gluten-free. This was so good that the entire bag was gone during a movie (did I really just admit that?!). I am going to be buying more of this very soon and I imagine the bag will meet the same fate as this one did.
Sweetwood Cattle Co – Beef Jerky: This is another situation that I had to verify it was gluten-free because the bag disappeared so fast! This was the perfect mix of dry and moist – I was very pleased with the overall flavor.
Sante Cardamom Cashews: Another great item! This is as simple as it gets containing sugar, cardamom, salt, organic canola oil and cashews! It was a sad moment knowing these were gone because they were so good to begin with. As simple as the ingredients are, I could try to make these on my own, but I do not think they would be near as good.
Edison Grainery Organic Quinoa Macaroni and Cheese: I love that they included an entire dinner for Jason and I have yet to make this, but I read that it is good so I am looking forward to trying it.
Fusion – Black Truffle Salt: The first thing I noticed was that the smell from this was so good. We have not used this yet, but I did taste it and it was very delicious and different then the typical salts.
Dinner Tonight Seasoning Mix – White Bean Chili: Again I love that they included dinner items for Jason and I have not tried this yet, but I will be soon as the colder it gets in San Diego, the more the hearty meals come out.
Casteleton Crisps – Cheddar flavor: These are going to be perfect with the chili also included in this box. These are gluten-free and I am thinking going to be very tasty as they look really good through the bag.
Beard Brothers Energy Bar: This is an organic, Non-GMO, Raw, Vegan and Gluten and Soy free. Made in Austin Texas, I love that it is local to the Austin area and that a small company is getting a national attention in a box like this. We must support the small businesses for they are the ones that make the world of commerce go.
The Yes Bar – Macadamia Chocolate Chip: We are big chocolate chip cookie fans in our house and I was pleasantly surprised by how good this cookie was. I am not a macadamia nut fan but they were not overly powerful.
What I really appreciated is that his box was full of full size samples that were not only snack items, but items that can make us full meals. Although this box is a bit more expensive than other boxes, this is different than most boxes in the quality, size and amount of items. This was one of the more fun unboxing’s I have done lately. I really felt like I was uncovering a treasure with each item, and just when I thought I was done – there was more.
Monthly subscriptions: $59.00/month, $55.00/month – 3 month membership, pre-paid for $165.00, $52.00/month – 6 month membership pre-paid for $312.00, $50.00/month – 12 months pre-paid for $600.00 and shipping is included in the cost each month.
They currently ship to United States and additional shipping applies to Alaska, Hawaii and Canada
Please do not let the higher price point discourage you, this box was so fun and I really did enjoy everything in it!
