Pet Treater Monthly Subscription Box Review – November 2016

Pet Treater Monthly Subscription Box Review – November 2016

november-2016-pet-treater-boxThere are few things that I remember loving when I was a child as much as I loved animals. I always thought it would be great to be a vet! As I have gotten older it became clear to me that I would be in a position that I would become attached to the animals that I was saving, and that would be the best quality for a vet. Despite my early career aspirations not coming to fruition I knew that the quality that made Vet Medicine not a correct choice, would make me a great Guardian.

Each day I strive to be the best Guardian and “sister” to all pets in my life, and I am attached to Meadow as if she was my own. I want the best for her, and I love spending time with her.

When I saw this months Pet Treater and the theme “Eat, Sleep and Be Thankful“, it reminded me of how thankful I was that I have a dog like Meadow I can spend time with and have special moments with, despite her living in a separate home. Continue reading

RefrigiWear: Fleece Jacket Review

RefrigiWear: Fleece Jacket Review + Giveaway

refrigiwear-logoI will be the first to admit that as a San Diegan, I see very little weather changes. Generally speaking the weather is 70’s and sunny – at least that is what people will make you believe.

While our temperatures are ideal, I must run cold because despite our ideal temperatures I am always cold. I can be outside or in my house and I am always cold. Since I spend so much of my time cold, I am on a constant search to find a jacket or sweater that will keep me cool.

When I recently was approached by a company called RefrigiWear I was interested by the claim they are the leader in cold weather gear. I decided to give their Women’s Fleece Jacket a turn

GourmetGiftBaskets.com: Nostalgic Candy Gift Crate Review

Gourmet Gift Baskets: Nostalgic Candy Gift Crate Review + Giveaway

nostalgic-basketIf there is one way to describe me, nostalgic comes to mind. I love to see things from my youth, and have began a collection of old toys and advertisements.

One thing that always reminds me of my childhood is candy. I remember when I was young, my father would take me to breakfast each weekend, and while he sat and chatted with friends, I would go over to the general store in the same center and purchase a couple of pieces of candy. My choices were usually items that would give me more candy, for less cost.

When I was recently contacted by GourmetGiftBaskets.com, and took a little time to peruse their website, I was immediately struck with gift inspiration – the first thing that caught my eye was the Nostalgic Candy Gift Crate.

Silver Lining Abstracts Adult Coloring Book Review

Silver Lining Abstracts: An Adult Coloring Book of Art and Illusions Review + Giveaway

silver-lining-abstractsAs we are growing up we are told and led to believe that every cloud has a silver lining. What I always took this as was that despite how dark a cloud is, it still can sparkle. There are many days that I remind myself of this fact, and many times remembering previous sparkles in darkness helps as well.

When I received a copy of  Silver Lining Abstracts: An Adult Coloring Book of Art and Illusions by Blue Star Premier and Angela Covany the first things I thought of were all those dark clouds that had a silver lining after all.

Good Job, Brain! Review

Good Job, Brain! Trivia, Quizzes, and More Fun From the Popular Pub Quiz Podcast Review + Giveaway

good-job-brainEver since I was a young girl I loved to ask questions, and one of my favorite books of all time was a question and answer book that covered every subject and topic. My favorite topic is “Pop Culture/Entertainment”, mostly due to the fact that I follow celebrity gossip.

Often times if friends or family have a pop culture related inquiry often times I am the one that they default to. When we watch movies, Jason will say “that actor who was in that other movie” and 9 times out of 10 I know the person or movie he is referring to. My specialty is late 1980’s, to the mid 2000’s.

When I received the book Good Job, Brain! Trivia, Quizzes and More From the Popular Pub Quiz Podcast by Karen Chu, Colin Felton, Dana Nelson and Chris Kohler for review I loved seeing a book based on pop culture trivia that I could answer.

Brentwood Home: Wellness Bundle Review

Brentwood Home – Helena and Carmel Pillow Review + Giveaway

pillows-from-brentwood-homeThere is nothing that I love more than pillows on my bed! Ever since I was a kid, I loved getting new pillows, while keeping the older ones. When I had slumber parties, my friend knew to bring their own pillows because I was not good at sharing.

Even today I value my sleep time, and the addition of pillows adds to the overall comfort while I am sleeping. Generally I try to get anywhere from 8-10 hours, but honestly the average is closer to 6-8, despite my deep desire for the former. Recently I received a 4 pillows from Brentwood Home for review and from the moment I opened the box I knew these pillows would be different. Continue reading

Designer Tin of Cards by Stampin’ Up Project Kit Review

Stampin’ Up – Designer Tin of Cards – Project Kit Review + Giveaway

designer-tin-of-cards-completedRecently I received a card from a dear old friend. This is a person who I had lost touch with for many years, and through the use of modern technology I was able to track down her email. While I had her email for a couple of days, I was hesitant to hitting the send button.

I finally decided to hit the send, and held my breath for her to reply. I had included my address in case she wanted to send me a mailed letter. The same day I heard from her I also received a physical card in the mail. Almost instantly I was filled with an excitement and could not wait to open this letter from a long-lost friend.

While the card was simple, the sentiment meant the world to me. With a simple card, the years between us melted away and a fresh start was beginning. When I got the Designer Tin of Card Project Kit I began to think of the ways that I could give someone the same thing that the card I received gave me. Continue reading

Soap Box Soaps: Tea Tree Hair Care Review

SoapBox Soaps: Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner Review + Giveaway

tea-tree-shampoo-and-conditionerI have always been lucky when it comes to my hair. I have naturally blond hair and lots of natural curl. The more I encourage it while drying, the more curl I can achieve.

The one problem I have had since I was a young teenager is dandruff. As I have gotten older the situation has improved dramatically – and it is merely brief boughts of dandruff rather than the snow storm it used to me.

As I have gotten older I have began to turn to more natural remedies for the things. One of the more natural ways to get rid of dandruff is with the use of tea tree. This can be in the form of drops in your current shampoo or the purchase of a shampoo containing the oil.

Recently SoapBox Soaps released a couple of new shampoo’s and conditioners including a Tea Tree set. I can tell you that this set will not only nourish your hair, but with each use will make you feel good about purchasing and using this set.

Paper Pumpkin: November 2016 Kit Review

Paper Pumpkin – Wonderful Winterland – November 2016 Kit Review + Giveaway

paper-pumpkin-november-2016When I was young the idea of mail was beyond my imagination. There was something magical that with something as simple as an address, people can get trinkets and letters from loved ones. This was in the day before I knew about bills and thought the world was full of rainbows.

Now that I am adult, I accept that most of the mail I receive is bills, except for this time of year. This is the season of family updates, family photos and letters – I love this time of year!

When I received the November 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit “Wonderful Winterland”, the decision was made that these would be in the lineup for our 2016 Holiday cards.
