refrigiwear-logoI will be the first to admit that as a San Diegan, I see very little weather changes. Generally speaking the weather is 70’s and sunny – at least that is what people will make you believe.

While our temperatures are ideal, I must run cold because despite our ideal temperatures I am always cold. I can be outside or in my house and I am always cold. Since I spend so much of my time cold, I am on a constant search to find a jacket or sweater that will keep me cool.

When I recently was approached by a company called RefrigiWear I was interested by the claim they are the leader in cold weather gear. I decided to give their Women’s Fleece Jacket a turn

Since I am on a constant search of a sweater or jacket to keep me warm, I was eager to try the RefrigiWear Women’s Fleece Jacket.

refrigiwear-womens-fleece-jacketWhen I opened the thing that I noticed when I opened the box and removed the plastic wrap was the softness of the jacket. While this jacket is meant to keep the wearer warm down to 30 degrees, I do not think it will see temperatures that low. For the 40’s – 50’s that this fleece will see it is the perfect weight and thickness.

zipper-refrigiwearI like when I have the option of either zipping up the front or keeping it half-open and half closed. The zipper went up and down with ease and there was a nice branded tag on the zipper that made the motion and pulling easy. The sleeves are slightly fitted and there is a nice curve to the jacket that gives this a slightly fitting look.

The Fleece Jacket is machine washable and is quick drying, which makes this a nice addition on an otherwise clear day. The black color makes this versatile with almost any outfit and is lightweight.

cuff-edgesOne of my favorite things is one of the smaller details which is the cuffs, which feature a straight-hemmed stitch that provides a nice cuff.

I wore this jacket outside and inside and found it not only comfortable, but I was kept at a nice temprature, never being to hot or to cold. The fit was comfortable over a long sleeved shirt, and I never felt as thought I had to many clothes on.

While this fleece jacket may never see the cold depths of winter, it will be used often. I am frequently cold in the grocery store, so this will, amongst other uses, become my shopping jacket.

    I hate the winter. Live in one of the snowiest, gloomiest, coldest counties in the entire US. It’s cold, non-stop during the winter. The BEST way to stay warm is layers…. lots and lots of layers! I’m a huge fan of hoodies, so that’s what I’m wearing constantly.

    Bundle up whenever you go outside. Layers, thermals, gloves and so on. You have to prepare for the weather.
