GoodLight Natural Candles Review + Giveaway
Since one of my favorite things to use and burn are candles, I am always on the search for the latest and greatest candles. I used to make my own candles so this tends to make me a bit more interested in candles then not. When I heard of the candle company GoodLight Natural Candles and that they also donated money to some good organizations, I wanted to give them a try.
The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of GoodLight Natural Candles. This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.
I received the following for review from GoodLight Natural Candles Pack of 10 inch Unscented Dripless White Taper Candles and 6 pack of Unscented Tea Light Candles, 2oz Fig Grapefruit, 6 oz Eucalyptus Citrus, Lavender Tea Lights, and Lemongrass Votives.
When I opened the package the first thing that struck me was the wonderful scent. The first thing I decided to was set aside the Pack of 10 inch Unscented Dripless White Taper Candles and 6 pack of Unscented Tea Light Candles and give them away to one lucky winner (enter below!).
The first candle that I opened was the 2 oz Fig Grapefruit, and was struck by how much it reminded me of grapefruits. The small size is due it being more of a travel candle size, which if I were to travel, I would love having something like this with me for the stale hotel room smell. This burned clean and even after extinguishing this candle, I still smelled it clearly.
The 6 oz Eucalyptus Citrus was a wonderful mix of Eucalyptus and Citrus and similar to the first tin, I still smelled this a couple hours after extinguishing the flame.
The Lavender Tea Lights are going to be perfect for our porch in the summer, and if the initial smell is any indicator then these will burn just as great.
We plan to use the Lemongrass Votives in the summer as well. I was initially concerned about the wicks discoloration but after a bit of research learned that this discoloration is normal due to the cassia (cinnamon) essential oil, and is only an aesthetic issue.
These candles are made with essential oil blends and botanical oils. These oils are derived from cold pressing plants, or steam, as well as vacuum distillation. These candles contain no phthalates, or artificial/synthetic fragrances, and the wax burns 100% clean-burning palm wax. Each wick is made of pure cotton, and are Non-GMO.
As an added bonus each purchase supports the work of 1% For the Planet, the Orangutan Land Trust and Carbonfund.org. I love when a company feels a social responsibility and supports these organizations with each purchase.
While there are many candle companies, I loved thatย GoodLight Natural Candles not only make healthy pure candles, but also supports the work of some good organizations.
