The Little Kernel Miniature Popcorn Review

The Little Kernel Miniature Popcorn Review

When I find a popcorn that is Non GMO, Gluten Free, Whole Grain, Kosher while popping to half the size of typical popcorn and is virtually hulless, I tend to stop in my tracks.

While walking the floor at the Natural Product Expo this year I came upon the bright and colorful display that was The Little Kernel. As I looked at the bags, they were as colorful as the popcorn was flavorful. I knew that I wanted more and wanted to try the other flavors available.

Simply Earth Monthly Subscription Box Review – June 2017

Simply Earth: Essential Oil Recipe Box – Fun in the Sun – June 2017 – Review + Giveaway

As we embark on summer, we also embark on heat, sunburns and long beach days. There are many remedies, both natural and chemically made, that can relieve symptoms of over sunning. The biggest issue for our home during the summer is bugs – the gnats and mosquitoes are unbearable during this time of year.

Since I live in San Diego, the beach is close and always warm, which makes this the ideal time of year. During this time of warmth and sun, over the counter remedies can have unwanted side effects so essential oils are a nice alternative.  A couple of months ago I reviewed Simply Earth and their monthly subscription box, so when I had the opportunity to review another box I was again eager to try out some essential oil summer remedies that plaque our home and selves each year.

Bright Bopper: Light Up Cat Toy Review + Giveaway

We have two cats, and with that two different personalities. One cat, Murfee, started his life very full of life and has he has gotten older (he is will be 5 in August of this year), there is notable slow down in high activity levels.

On the other hand, our other cat Maggee is full of life and full of playtime any time of day. There is literally never a time when she does not want to play, and it usually at full throttle.

When I recently was given an opportunity to review the Bright Bopper LED Light-Up Cat Toy, I was hoping the previous toy loving Murfee and always up for playtime Maggee would enjoy it.

There has been an addition in Meadow’s world – an official doggie door. When I saw this months Pet Treater and the theme “Backyard Playtime”, I thought the timing was perfect. Continue reading

2017 Mazda CX-9 Signature AWD Review #DriveShop

A Week With The 2017 Mazda CX-9 Signature AWD –  A Review

I was provided an opportunity to test drive the 2017 Mazda CX-9 Signature Edition through DriveShop for a week – no compensation was provided and all opinions are my own.

As a blogger I get some very fun and unique opportunities so when I was given the opportunity to test drive the new 2017 Mazda CX-9 Signature AWD, I jumped at the chance. Given that we were given a car, we decided to take it into the mountains, and give it a little off road time and see how it handled in this curvy road conditions.

The 2017 Mazda CX-9 Signature AWD (All Wheel Drive) was impressive from the moment I saw it. The Machine Grey Metallic and 20″ Alloy Wheels made the car look distinguished yet approachably drivable. The car seats 5 comfortably with an optional 2 additional seats in the rear that fold down to extend trunk space when not in use.

The sticker states that the car gets 20 miles per gallon in the city, and 26 on the highway. While I can not attest to the accuracy of this claim, I can say that we drove a couple hundred miles over the course of the week. Within this week we drove in a variety of road conditions (stop and go traffic, curvy mountains, freeway and city streets) and seven days later we had a tad under half a tank remaining.

The 2.5 turbo engine gave the car power, while remaining a smooth drive. The car was comfortable for me to drive, and while I loved the feeling on the road, I never felt the car was to much to handle.
