Finding The Right Car with Cars.com
This post was sponsored by Cars.com, but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.

Recently, we purchased a new car – a 2017 Subaru Forester. It took us over a month to make the decision on the make, model and features. To come to this decision we followed a couple of tips that without, our car buying results would not have been as favorable.
When we began looking there were a couple of cars in our price point, and all of comparable build, so it came down to the important things.
The first thing that we did was research, and more research. Jason is a big guy and I am of average size, finding a car that fit him, yet did not make me feel engulfed was paramount. As we began to do our research used Cars.com to do our research, which was extensive. One thing we wanted to see was video reviews, which we found on Cars.com easily. One very important factor for us was we wanted the good, bad and the ugly on the considered cars, which we were able to locate on Cars.com.
Another important thing to do is SHOP AROUND! I can not express this more! Each dealership has different makes, models and trims, so it is worth a look to see what each dealer has available. With technology and email, you can even email a dealership to inquire about inventory. When you do this initial shopping around, you will gain a baseline of what the car basically costs with desired features and trims.
The other important factor is to go in educated about your potential car. When we went to the dealer, we knew the details of the car we wanted. This immediately told the salesman that we could not be taken advantage of. We knew the potential rebates and we knew the features we wanted. We felt empowered and in control of a situation that most times feels out of control, which led us to to feeling we got the best deal.

With the right research using Cars.com we found the perfect car that fits Jason and gives me the safety I desire. We both agree that we could not imagine another car and could not be happier with our purchase. We know that it was the research ahead of time that lead us to our car.
