Dr. Jacobs Naturals: Loofa Exfoliating Castile Bar Soaps Review

Dr. Jacobs Naturals: Loofa Exfoliating Castile Bar Soaps – Review and Giveaway

One of my favorite soaps to use is castile soap. This is one of the most gentle, most versatile and adaptable soaps that is made.

When I was young and first introduced to the miracle of castile soap. My father shared that there was a gentle soap that I could use that would not irritate my skin. I inquired how he had this previously unknown to me, piece of knowledge. After a small chuckle and an exhale, he sahred with me that yes this was common knowledge.

One of my favorite activities of last year was attending the Natural Products Expo because with my attendance I discovered companies I would not have discovered otherwise. One of these such companies was Dr. Jacob Naturals, and since then I have been actively watching the social media. Recently I saw that they have released a set of exfoliating bar soaps, I was eager to try them.

Bain de Terre: Blood Orange & Passion Fruit S/C Review

Bain de Terre: Blood Orange & Passion Fruit Color Enhancing Shampoo and Conditioner Review + Giveaway

When I was 18 years I began dying my hair to shades of red. The shades ranged from strawberry blond to deep dark red. My favorite shad was an in-between of the lightest and darkest – it was a nice middle ground. As I got older another color began making an appearance, and it was not one I was necessarily choosing – gray! I have begun coloring my hair, to cover this streak of gray I seem to have now.

I have reverted back to those easy days of reds, and in the sun my hair now has a nice red tone. While I enjoy dying my hair, I try to minimize it whenever possible, looking for other alternatives that will freshen my color. When I saw a color enhancing line and colors of hair care from Bain de Terre I was immediately interested in seeing if this would enhance the color.

Good Earth Beauty: Chocolate Amour Duo Giveaway

Good Earth Beauty: Chocolate Amour Duo Giveaway

When I think of Valentine’s Day, I immediately think of a box of chocolates. When I was young I remember my father had back to back meetings, and despite every year prior, this particular year I did not get the box of chocolates I normally received.

I went to to sleep that Valentines night, thinking that my father forgot about the holiday – but the joke was on me. When I woke up that next morning I not only had chocolate waiting for me, but a stuffed cat (that I still have 25 + years later). It was, and still is, one of my favorite Valentine’s gifts

Recently I was sent the Good Earth Beauty’s Chocolate Amour Duo and smelled it, I was taken back to that special moment years before. The bonus –  you also have an opportunity to win a set! Continue reading

YogDev: Hot Yoga Towel Review

YogDev: Hot Yoga Towel Review + Giveaway

If there is one thing I have learned as I have gotten older is that not all towels are built the same way.

When you are doing yoga, your towel needs are different than you would after a shower. After a shower, you want a plush towel that will engulf you in warmth.

When you are in the middle of a yoga session, you want a soft towel this moisture wicking. When I received the Hot Yoga Towel from YogDev, it is those qualities that immediately got my attention and made me eager to review it.

Cremo Company: Men & Women’s Shaving Cream Review

Cremo Company: Men and Women’s Shaving Cream Review & Giveaway

There are certain lessons and teachings that since I was raised by a man that I missed. These are few and far between now that I am older but equally important to my daily life.

The lesson that I missed out on was about shaving. I took all my shaving lessons from my father while he shaved, and relied on my close friends for further teachings. One of the things that I learned is that it is frowned upon when women are shaving that they not use cream of any kind. The result is razor burn, and at times an uneven shave.

This has been a system of trial and error for me with, not only razors, but also shaving creams. I experiment with different brands and try to find the one that will give me a simple and clean shave. Recently I have came across a company called Cremo Company that happens to make concentrated shaving creams, which means less of the product is needed to give a good shave.

Limoneira Company: Simply Lemons Set Giveaway

During the winter holidays there are certain scents that are synonymous with the winter holidays – these can be cranberry, apples, mint to name a few.

One of my favorite scents is lemon, and while not usually associated with the winter months, it is a strong citrus fresh scent that can good any season. There is something fresh and citrus can awaken the senses and cheer a person up on an otherwise gloomy day.

In these otherwise cedar and cranberry-apple filled days, I am thrilled to be able to bring you a fresh and versatile citrus set with this Simply Lemons.

Peaches & Petals Subscription Box – December 2016 Review

Peaches & Petals Subscription Box – December 2016 Review

To say the holidays are a busy time is an understatement of epic proportions, from Thanksgiving to New Years, the days are packed.

My favorite thing about this time of year is seeing family and friends that we normally do not get to see. We get to meet babies born, important significant others and breaking bread with loved ones.

When I saw the December Peaches and Petals boxes theme I was reminded of the approaching days since it was a “Jingle and Mingle” theme that the box would revolve around. Each items are appropriate, and useful while constantly remaining in theme.
