Svelte Men: Shave Cream and 3-in-1 Review and Giveaway
Men are synonymous with simplicity, there are few things as simple as a man. I have been lucky in that I was raised by a man, so I have inherited that simplicity. I take little time to get ready and generally use few products. I believe that woman attract men that are much like themselves. If this fact is true than I found the male equivalent of my level of simplicity.
Until recently I believed I married a man who had the same simplicity as I have, as it turns out he may not be as simple as I once believed. It turns out that for men the shaving process is much more complicated than I initially thought. It was through review blogging I made this discovery when I received an offer in my inbox for a review of shaving goods and mentioned it to Jason. I was then informed that is was a little more complicated than a shaver and water.
The email I received was from Svelte Men, a men’s barbershop located in the Hollywood Hill’s of Los Angeles and Manhattan Beach California has a line of shaving products for the at home use.
I received 2 products of Svelte Men including Grandpa’s Shave Cream and 3-in-1.
I knew that Jason was looking forward to using this, so much so that he used it was son as we got it. The first item that was used was the Grandpa’s Shave Cream in Lemongrass scent. The first thing that struck me was how good the smell was – it smelled fresh, yet not fragrance filled. The jar opened easy and only a little was needed to lather the face. This cream did not have an oily feel and felt clean and fresh on the skin.
As the shaving began it was discovered that we needed a little more then we initially applied on the face. Once we re-lathered the shaving was easy and washed off easily without a residue.
After the initial shave, the 3-in-1 was used to soothe and moisturize the skin further. The 3-in-1 contains Vitamin-E, Ginseng, Vitamin-C and Chamomile which explains why it is so nourishing for skin. After all was said and done, what resulted was a clean shave that left the skin soft and most importantly, it smelled good.
Started as a barbershop in the Los Angeles area, now including two shops located the Hollywood Hills and Manhattan Beach. The barbershop experience is unlike many others in that beer is served, magazines to enjoy and a chill vibe. Decorated more like a mans cave than barbershop, this is a destination – not a chore.
As a simple barbershop expanding into products that can give you the barbershop experience, is the foundation of a great shop. I loved the smell and the result after Jason shaved and if you are looking for a gift for the man in your life look no further.
