Smith & Vandiver: Spa..ah Foot Care Collection Review

Smith & Vandiver: Spa..ah Foot Care Collection Review + Giveaway

Summer is approaching, and if the increase in traffic near my coastal home is any indication, it will be a busy summer this year. Each year I use the surrounding area traffic to find out how busy the beach season will be.

As some readers know, I live only about 1/4 mile from the beach, and I see people walking the streets in flip-flops and bare feet daily. The thing that always makes me think is the toll that their feet must suffer from. Then when you add in the beach sand, the water and the walk back, the feet get the abuse.

When you add in the additional wear and tear of the daily use of the feet, there is no doubt that some pampering is not only necessary but essential. When I saw that Smith & Vandiver had an entire foot care line from scrub, fizzies, lotion and heel repair I thought maybe I can repair my often abused feet.

Unboxing The Bizarre Monthly Box: May 2017

Unboxing the Bizarre – May 2017 Subscription Review

One of my favorite activities is browsing social media, I love to see what companies are releasing and featuring. Last year, I noticed a new box enter my feed and I was curious. The box celebrates the often overlooked, but equally celebratory holidays that you may otherwise overlook. For the past year or so I have seen the box and the holidays, and always have wanted to opportunity to get my own holiday box.

My wish came true this month, just in time for Star Wars Day (May 4th) with the receipt of the May 2017 Unboxing the Bizarre Box. Each month this box has 4 items that relate to 4 holidays that otherwise may be overlooked. Past holidays featured have been “Hug Your Cat Day”, “Fire Prevention Day” and “Mad Hatter Day” to name a few. I was eager to see what holidays would be featured in the May Box.

Late for the Sky: Fantasy-opoly Review

Late for the Sky: Fantasy-Opoly Review + Giveaway

When I was young, one of my favorite things to do was go to my best friends house and watch him and his friends play Dungeon and Dragons. I was lucky that since my best male friend ran the game, he allowed my female best friend and I color while they played.

The games involved orcs, wizards, dwarfs and other classes of characters that my young mind could not imagine. The terms were foreign, and the stories made up, but they were like stories that were unfolding in front of me.

Years later I look back on those days of friendship and stories, fondly. When I had the opportunity to review  Late for the Sky’s Fantasy-Opoly my initial hope is that it would take me back to those many years before, and those wonderful stories.

Peaches & Petals Subscription Box: April 2017 Review

Peaches & Petals Subscription Box: April 2017 Review

When Spring arrives in California, so does beach and picnic weather. I live only about 1/4 mile from the beach, and have many local and beautiful parks near me. When the sun is shining there is nothing better than packing a lunch (carne asada burritos are popular in my home) and going to have a picnic.

When I received this months box, I was thrilled to see a couple of items that will enhance our future picnics. The theme for the April Peaches and Petals box theme was “Fun in the Sun” and I was happy to see each item fit within that theme.

Dave’s Naturals: Overnight Oats Review

Dave’s Naturals: Overnight Oats Review + Giveaway

If there is one time of day that I do not like it is the mornings. Most of my mornings consist of making my husband lunch and getting him off to work, cleaning the litter box from the night, feeding our cats, and getting myself ready for my day blogging. Time goes quick, and despite the time I wake-up, I am always in a hurry to do what needs to be done before my morning slips away.

If there is one thing that I often forget to do is to eat breakfast. I am always looking for an easier way to give me the start to my day that I desperately need that will save me time.

When I was approached with the opportunity to give a new breakfast offering from Dave’s Naturals I decided to go for it. When I head that I was the 5th package shipped and one of few people outside the company I was immediately intrigued. The new product is Overnight Oats and the basic idea is that you add the milk to cup the night before, store in the fridge, and in the morning you will have a softened oats to eat.

All Good Products: All Stars Set Review

All Good Products: All Stars Set Review & Giveaway

Let’s be honest, we are in a time when it is important that companies are environmentally responsible as well as being fiscally responsible. Many times companies donate a part of their profits, or sales to a cause that is relevant and important to their product category. When I attended the Natural Products Expo in March, one thing that I noticed was more companies are backing causes that are important to not only themselves, but their customers.

Being a resident of the coast, the ocean is something that I see and admire each day. There is no doubt that the ocean is as vast as it is large. Despite it’s massive size and power, it still needs us to take care and be aware of the issues that could potentially destroy it.

One company that I came across was All Good Products and their #ReefFriendly campaign. The basic idea of the #ReefFriendly Campaign is to spread awareness to make sure that the products on our skin, are also safe for the underwater reefs. With this added awareness I was curious to give their products a try, and see what makes them different.

RevaBlend: Blending On The Go Review

RevaBlend: Blending On The Go Review + Giveaway

One of my favorite treats is a banana smoothie or shake. The problem with this is that they can be a bite labor intensive and consistency is important.

The other thing that I have been doing recently is blending my eggs for my omelets and making my own salad dressings. I have discovered that my creations can be much tastier than the items that I can buy in the store.

The problem I encounter often is that my blender is big, and not the most compact or convenient. When I recently saw RevaBlend – Blending On The Go the first thing I noticed was that did not rely on electricity and has its own contained blades, I wondered it it would be easier then the current blender I was using. .
