Simple Mills: Ready-to-Eat Cookies Reviews

Simple Mills: Ready-to-Eat Cookies – Double Chocolate, Toasted Pecan and Chocolate Chip Cookies Review + Giveaway

This past March when I attended the Natural Products Expo one of my favorite booths was the Simple Mills booth. The booth was bright, inviting and just simple. That is what I enjoy about Simple Mills. This is a company that keeps it simple, while providing a tasty product.

During the expo, I had the opportunity to sample a couple of products, and when I saw that they had a new cookie line, I knew I wanted to investigate further. I inquired to Simple Mills so that I could sample their new cookie’s and when I reached out they were generous enough to send me a their newest sweet offering.

Oogie’s Gourmet Popcorn Review

Oogie’s Gourmet Popcorn Review + Giveaway

As I have mentioned in the past we are a snack house – we love our snacks. The problem is that many times we are looking for a semi-heathy snack that we can eat without our hands being dirtied or full.

In our house, both of us spend many hours at our computers, and since we do not like to get our keyboards dirty, popcorn is often the snack that we end up choosing.

The problem is that since we eat so much popcorn, we grow tired of the flavors typically available. When I recently came across a company called Oogie’s Gourmet Popcorn and saw their collection, I was interested to give these different flavors a try.

Our Top 7 from the Natural Products Expo 2017

A Month Later .. The 7 Items I am Still Thinking About From Expo West 2017

Attending an expo or trade show can be overwhelming to say the least, and it is a lot of information and products to see. This yearly event is held in Anaheim California, has over 80,000 attendees, and over 3,100 exhibitors – that is a lot of people to talk to and meet.

As you walk the floor, the colors, sights and samples are abundant, and favorites emerge. At times the favorites become clear once you are back home enjoying the take away sample. It is in that spirit that I wanted to share my favorite finds from the Natural Products Expo 2017.

As a review blogger I am always on the hunt for new and innovative products that combine health and sweetness. Hands down one of my favorite sweet things is Dark Chocolate. That is not to say that there is anything wrong with milk chocolate but there is something decadent and luxurious about this darker chocolate.

When I attended the Natural Products Expo in March, one of the things that I discovered were Dark Chocolate Salba Chia Seeds from Salba Smart Natural Products. I have been thinking about these ever since, and I knew that full review was needed.

Namaste Foods: Brownie, Bread Crumbs and Egg Replacer Review

Namaste Foods: Dark Chocolate Brownies, Italian Herb Bread Crumbs and Egg Replacer Review and Giveaway

In the infancy of my review blogging I had the opportunity to try many good companies.

When I attended the Gluten Free and Allergen Friendly Expo in San Diego I had the opportunity to meet the people behind the company that I had the chance to review in those early days.

One of my favorite things is to see companies expand their product lines and offer a wide selection of products in their respective categories.

Namaste Foods has a line of foods that are free from the top 8 allergens typically found in other foods and contain no wheat, no gluten, no corn, no soy, no potatoes, no dairy, no casein, no peanuts or tree nuts.

Dancing Deer Baking Company: Gluten Free Molasses Cookie Review

Dancing Deer Baking Co.: Gluten Free Molasses Cookie Review + Giveaway

There is a saying that references molasses that goes “slow as molasses in January”. While the origins of this saying date back to the Great Molasses Flood of January 15th of 1919, when over 2.5 million gallons of molasses from a 58 foot tank broke loose and caused a tidal wave of molasses of over 30 feet that tore the steel supports off the nearby elevated train structure.

Almost 100 years later, the term is stil used as is molasses. This simple by-product is made from refining sugarcane and/or sugar beets into sugar. The result is a slow pouring sweet syrup that when added to cookies, makes a chewy, sweet and delicious cookie.

When I recently received a press release that the Dancing Deer Baking Co had released a molasses cookie that was gluten free, I knew I wanted to give it a try.

There are a few holidays throughout the year that are synonymous with certain treats and sweets. Since we are young kids, we know when we see a bunny it is either hollow, or solid, and sometimes filled with a chocolate ganache varieties.

With the approaching hollow chocolate holiday, I started thinking that a chocolate review would be a perfect addition and that is how I came across a company called Ticket Chocolate.

Masala Pop: Indian Spiced Popcorn Review

Masala Pop: Indian Spiced Popcorn Review + Giveaway

Often times my review items find their way to me by pure coincidence and other ones are by chance. When I heard that a company I have worked with in the past now is working with an Indian Spiced Popcorn company I was intrigued.

My sister in law is married to a French-Morrocan man, and thus my nieces and nephews are adept and used to the Indian spices. Since our household is not as familiar with these, I decided to seize on this opportunity in hopes that I would be able to recommend something yummy to my extended family. The company I was hoping to share was Masala Pop which makes an Indian inspired line of Masala popcorn’s.
