Salba Chia: Dark Chocolate Chia Seeds Review & Giveaway

As a review blogger I am always on the hunt for new and innovative products that combine health and sweetness. Hands down one of my favorite sweet things is Dark Chocolate. That is not to say that there is anything wrong with milk chocolate but there is something decadent and luxurious about this darker chocolate.

When I attended the Natural Products Expo in March, one of the things that I discovered were Dark Chocolate Salba Chia Seeds from Salba Smart Natural Products. I have been thinking about these ever since, and I knew that full review was needed.

I received a bag of Salba Chia Seeds to facilitate and this post does have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.

Salba Smart Natural Products sent me a bag of Dark Chocolate Salba Chia Seeds for me to sample and review.

These Dark Chocolate Salba Chia Seeds have all the benefits of chia, with the added bonus of a dark chocolate layer. These can be added to yogurt, topping of ice cream, covering on chocolate covered items instead of sprinkles or nuts to just name a few ways these can be consumed.

Since chia seeds contain 5 times more Folate than Spinach, 5 times more calcium than milk, 30% more antioxidants than blueberries and 15 times more magnesium than broccoli it makes these seeds the key to dietary change! These contain 2250mg of Omega-3, and while the bag says that it has 4.5 servings per bag, I think that the average may be less because they are so tasty you will go above the suggested serving side.

Oh the choices and how to choose just one! Lol. Cherry pie that my husband and I bake together – I make the filling and he makes the crusts…all homemade. 🙂
