Peaches & Petals Subscription Box: June 2017 Review
Summer is upon us, and for some people the summer is already half over. It is important to savor and enjoy those summer nights while they are with us.
When I received this months box, I was thrilled to see a couple of items that will enhance our summer vacation. The theme for the June Peaches and Petals box theme was “Summer Lovin'” and each item fit within that theme perfectly.

There is a problem I suffer from – slippery fingers. Some days I drop every single thing I try to pick up. Yesterday was a day like this from beginning to end. It started with vacuuming the house, and while accessing the vacuum I knocked over numerous items including glass. After the vacuum I decided to refill the cat food, and before i knew it I had cat food all over my house. The grand finale was a large cup of ice water.
As my glass was collapsing and starting to shatter I wondered why I was dealing with broken glass when I had a solution. I was recently sent a set of Silipint Silicone Drinkware and it immediately replaced the 100 pieces of glass I had sitting in front of me.
Late for the Sky: Sharkopoly Property Trading Game Review + Giveaway
Each July the people who are above water get to learn about what is underwater. Each year in the summer we are treated to an entire week about sharks.
Sharks are as amazing as they are mysterious and may have ancestors that were alive when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Sharks are made of cartridge, which makes them more able to swim and maneuver around.
Being that I live on the coast, sharks are a daily topic either in my neighborhood, or the nightly news. When I discovered that Late for the Sky would be making a Sharkopoply themed property trading game, I was excited. Also, on July 23rd Shark Week begins!!

Being raised by a single father gave me an increased appreciation for Dad’s and Father’s Day! Each year I would agonize over the perfect gift, when really all my father wanted was a day of peace and ease.

One of the most difficult things I had to decide each year was what to purchase my dad for Father’s Day. My father is the type of father that has everything he needs, and there are few things that can be bought for him. Through the years I would make him items such as pencil holders and various art pieces. One of his favorite gifts was an album I made that was dedicated to our family dog, and this album is still a favorite.
There is no doubt though as he has aged, it is harder to think of things for him. As I got older there was always one “go-to” that included meat and nut items. I learned that if all else failed i could get him meat sticks and pistachios.

Smith & Vandiver: Spa..ah Foot Care Collection Review + Giveaway
Summer is approaching, and if the increase in traffic near my coastal home is any indication, it will be a busy summer this year. Each year I use the surrounding area traffic to find out how busy the beach season will be.
As some readers know, I live only about 1/4 mile from the beach, and I see people walking the streets in flip-flops and bare feet daily. The thing that always makes me think is the toll that their feet must suffer from. Then when you add in the beach sand, the water and the walk back, the feet get the abuse.
When you add in the additional wear and tear of the daily use of the feet, there is no doubt that some pampering is not only necessary but essential. When I saw that Smith & Vandiver had an entire foot care line from scrub, fizzies, lotion and heel repair I thought maybe I can repair my often abused feet.
Late for the Sky: Fantasy-Opoly Review + Giveaway
When I was young, one of my favorite things to do was go to my best friends house and watch him and his friends play Dungeon and Dragons. I was lucky that since my best male friend ran the game, he allowed my female best friend and I color while they played.
The games involved orcs, wizards, dwarfs and other classes of characters that my young mind could not imagine. The terms were foreign, and the stories made up, but they were like stories that were unfolding in front of me.
Years later I look back on those days of friendship and stories, fondly. When I had the opportunity to review Late for the Sky’s Fantasy-Opoly my initial hope is that it would take me back to those many years before, and those wonderful stories.
Peaches & Petals Subscription Box: April 2017 Review
When Spring arrives in California, so does beach and picnic weather. I live only about 1/4 mile from the beach, and have many local and beautiful parks near me. When the sun is shining there is nothing better than packing a lunch (carne asada burritos are popular in my home) and going to have a picnic.
When I received this months box, I was thrilled to see a couple of items that will enhance our future picnics. The theme for the April Peaches and Petals box theme was “Fun in the Sun” and I was happy to see each item fit within that theme.
