Late for the Sky: Sharkopoly Game Review

Late for the Sky: Sharkopoly Property Trading Game Review + Giveaway

Each July the people who are above water get to learn about what is underwater. Each year in the summer we are treated to an entire week about sharks.

Sharks are as amazing as they are mysterious and may have ancestors that were alive when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Sharks are made of cartridge, which makes them more able to swim and maneuver around.

Being that I live on the coast, sharks are a daily topic either in my neighborhood, or the nightly news. When I discovered that Late for the Sky would be making a Sharkopoply themed property trading game, I was excited. Also, on July 23rd Shark Week begins!!

The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Late in the Sky Games. This post may contain affiliate links, but this in no way influences the review to follow.

I was sent Late for the Sky’s Sharkopoly for review.

The Late for the Sky’s Sharkopoly game is a property trading game that use the sharks as the world for the property, pieces and theme.

The details are what I have come to expect from Late in the Sky games and the property piece is a block and the “hotel” is a fish.

Each property is replaced with a different shark and the values include each step of financial increase and the back of each deed contains fun facts about the shark that is featured.

The typical “Chance” and “Community Chest” are replaced with a “Nosedive” and “Surface” of which have a fun ocean and shark themed theme to each one.

The money is the one place I was a little let down. When I saw this money I was reminded of the Catopoly that I have previously reviewed. That being said, since this seems to be theme-less money, replacing it will be easy if the need arises.

Each token is shark and ocean themed and include an ocean cone, scuba diving glasses, scuba diving flipper, shark jaws, shark fin and a shark.

Instead of the typical railroads, it is replaces with oceans on earth. Each of the four cards that are typically railroads are represented in Arctic, Indian, Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.

As a resident of the coast, a fan of sharks and a fan of property trading games, I absolutely LOVED this game and recommend it to shark fans everywhere!
