Hallmark Cubeez – Peanuts – Review & Giveaway
Hallmark Cubeez - Peanuts

When I was younger and back in the day i actually worked at my local Hallmark store. I worked for a nice owner who happened to own about 13 other stores throughout San Diego County. I started a cashier and over time I was trusted to close the store with 1 other colleague, and even helped the owners daughter “turn over” the store for holidays. The Hallmark Gold Crown program was new and it was the late 90’s.

I look back on that job and realize I loved it for many reasons including helping people chose the gift and the appropriate card. That card will convey the sentiment and emotion and words that at times they are unable to express themselves. The main store I worked at was located near a Vons, and a movie theater which provided a mass influx of walk in traffic many nights. Many times the walk in traffic would be converted into sales due to the layout of the store and the product that filled that layout.

Hallmark Cubeez - PeanutsFor as long as I can remember, even prior to my employment, Hallmark has always been the place to go for licensed, commercial and popular characters. Time may pass but the timelessness contained in the licensing files at Hallmark does not and they have once again created a licensed character driven collectible collection.

I recently had the opportunity to review one of their newest character driven products. I received 4 pieces of their 6 piece Peanut themed Cubeez set. Cubeez are 3″ stack-able cubes that are available in almost 30 characters over 5 licensed entities. The licensed entities available are The Muppets (Kermit, Miss Piggy, Animal, Gonzo the Great, Beaker and Dr. Bunsen Honeydew), Pixar (Woody, Nemo, Dory, Mike, Sulley and Buzz Lightyear), Star Wars (a Stormtrooper, C-3PO, Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Boba Fett and R2-D2), Disney (Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Tigger, Winnie the Pooh, Ariel and Ursula) as well as the Peanuts. In August 2015, Wizard of Oz will be added to the collections. Within each category there are 6 different character Cubeez to collect.Hallmark Cubeez - PeanutsAgain, the set I received were the Peanuts and included Snoopy, Lucy, Franklin and Woodstock, Also available are Pig Pen and Charlie Brown. These retail at a cost of $7.95 each making a set of all 6 right around $51.00 depending on sales and coupons available at the time.

I thought that these were not only unique and honestly rather cute, but really functional as well for small items you do not want to lose. We are using our Peanuts Cubeez for a couple of things including random pocket items and hair ties. I would recommend these to anyone young or not so young – it is always nice to have a couple nooks to stuff treasures that are functional and cute. These would make a great holiday stocking stuffers as well as a unique housewarming gifts.

My favorite is Lucy. I always identified with Lucy as a kid since I had black hair and was a bit of a fussbudget. Love her.
