RTGS Products Review

RTGS Products: LED String Lights Review and Giveaway

RTGSI recently made a discovery that has changed the lighting choices I make. I have discovered that the addition of LED’s can not only reduce my electricity bill but also add some much-needed light in otherwise dark areas.

The technology of LED lights is nothing new and the most familiar use of LED’s is the calculators that were common for children of the 80’s to use on standardized testing. Now a days LED’s are used in signs, electronic devices and as household ambiance additions.

I was sent a selection of LED lights from RTGS Products. RTGS Products are specialists when it comes to Micro LED lighting and have many varieties and lengths of LED lights available.

Zevia Zero Calorie Soda Review

Zevia Zero Calorie Soda Review and Giveaway

Zevia shiftedJason and I have a ritual each night – shortly after he arrives home we get our drinks for the night and each one of us has a Cherry Coke. This is a horrible habit and we know how bad it is for us. We pad that with a lot of water and even sports drinks, yet we know we have to change this habit soon!

I was speaking to my father about this predicament that we are in and the topic that arose was that the come down from the daily caffeine jolt would make us irritable and grumpy. I figure a little irritability in exchange of our health was a fair deal. We began to cut our daily coke out, and replaced it with milk, juices and other drinks. Admittedly, Jason still has a morning coffee and I still have an energy drink now and again, but we are on the path.

During the initial discussion with my father, he mentioned that he had discovered a new soda that had all the flavors I knew, without the sugar and preservatives. The company he discovered was Zevia Zero Calorie Soda, founded in Seattle Washington in 2007. I reached out to them for a review sample and they generously sent me a case including 2 cans of 12 different flavor’s.

BuddhiBox Monthly Subscription Review – December 2015 Box

BuddhiBox Monthly Subscription Review  – December 2015 Box

Buddhi Box December 2015 BoxWhen we are children we do not think that the words that people say to use can hurt us. The sad part is that words many times words can hurt more than the largest weapon. Each night we watch the news, and each night we marvel at the amount of crimes and stories that could have a different outcome had words been used instead of the alternative weapons.

I was a young girl when I learned that words can hurt and to choose my words wisely. I apply this to each aspect of my life, and I am blessed that my husband does the same. We were both bullied in school and now how kind words can make a world of change and mean words can ruin your day. That is one reason I look forward to my monthly BuddhiBox – these are messages that are important in the yoga and real world.

I recently received the December BuddhiBox and I am again pleased and thrilled. Earlier in the year, I had the opportunity to review previous boxes (click here) and they are always a fun adventure in the yoga/healthy living lifestyle. The message is always one of compassion, and understanding and living a pure life.

This month we are back to the familiar bright green tissue paper carefully covering this months treasures. This month came with 4 cardboard information cards that are in full color and on thick glossy card stock. The first card was the Yoga pose of “Garland Pose” that shows the pose in full color, as well as the benefits and directions about the pose. These pose cards are made especially for BuddhiBox by a company called Yogicards. There is a recipe for a “Broccoli Hemp Potato Salad” that is made using 15 ingredients – 6 being spices that when put together creates a fresh, healthy and flavorful salad. The final information card included was a box manifest and on the other side the following quote:

The heart that gives, gathers.  – Lao Tzu Continue reading

Fluffeez Review

Fluffeez Plush Gift Card Holders Review and Giveaway

Line Up of FluffeezWhen Jason and I began dating, my birthday was within a week or two. I did not think much of this at the time because it was a new relationship and I would NEVER expect him to acknowledge my birthday in a big way being that our relationship had not progressed to a love level.

As history would show, he actually surprised me and made a dream of mine come true, let me explain further. I had always thought that it would be neat to go to my local store that you can build your own bear, but never actually thought I would do it. I mean, I was approaching my 34th birthday and at 34 your priority is not building a bear. As we headed down to the store, I was filled with an excitement and began planning my purchase. I ended up settling on a teddy bear in San Diego Charger gear – yes helmet, shoes and jersey (he also has a Charger sweater for cold days).

Almost 7 years later. Chargie the Charger Bear is one of my prized possessions, but he also is the centerpiece to my teddy bear collection. I have loved teddy bears and stuffed animals since I was a child so when I had to opportunity to review Fluffeez, I was excited.

NeoCell: Biotin Bursts Review

NeoCell: Biotin Bursts Review and Giveaway

Biotin Bursts ChewsI have always wanted longer hair and especially longer nails. I have more hair than most people my age and while I do not have the nails I desire, I do see growth when I forget I have the habit of biting them. Throughout the years I have tried to stop biting my nails, but as soon as they get long enough to begin showing any signs of growth, that is time I start chewing. I know this habit is not an attractive one, and I have begun the process of breaking this habit. Since I am breaking this habit I have began looking for a vitamin or supplement that would assist me in not only my nail growth but my hair growth also.

As luck would have it, right around the time I made this promise to myself I got the opportunity to review NeoCell Labratories Biotin Bursts Chewable’s in Acai Berry flavor.

Decal Girl Review

Let me start by saying that the products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of DecalGirl but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.

Decal Girl Review and Giveaway

Skin Kit you are ridicoulous amazingI am a big fan of personalizing my electronics. I am not sure when I began this crazy trend of personalization and naming but it has gone on for quite sometime. Jason even fell victim to this naming, the first thing I did was name his truck (Smokey). This extends to our car’s (Stormy and White Lightening), our computers (Megatron and Maddie), as well as anything else that gets referred to in our home.

As much as I love to name things, I hate upgrading devices. I recently upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy 3S to a Samsung Galaxy 5S. This was a rough upgrade on me and I while I knew I was gaining more phone function and more capabilities, I also knew the work ahead of me. After the initial copy over of photos, music and texts (note all personalized type items), I began to think more about personalization.

I began thinking that this powerful little device needed more than just the typical name, it needed a new skin. I came across DecalGirl.com, this original vinyl skins company began in 2003 in the United States maing it the first to market skin company. DecalGirl offers free wallpaper (on supporting devices) and were the first company to offer different finishes on their skins which include traditional gloss finish and matte finish.

I received the “You Are Ridic” by Susan Claire skin from DecalGirl for review purposes. The DecalGirl decal was so simple to install and to place on my phone and once I placed the decal near the back of the phone it almost adhered itself to the phone on its own. There are pre-stamped areas for the speakers, and the buttons as well as holes punched out for the camera and flash in back. This was the EASIEST phone make over I have ever done. The included instructions made the process painless and bubble free.

Stanley Bostitch Dynamo Stapler Review

Stanley Bostitch Dynamo Stapler Review

20150907_015226_editedOne of my favorite office related movies is Office Space and the ubiquitous red stapler. Truth be told I have wanted my own red stapler since seeing that movie. It was not necessarily the red stapler I coveted, but rather what the stapler represents in the movie – let me explain further.

The character Milton loved his red stapler and was quite attached to it and it was his own anchor to his reality. Milton was pushed around, shuttled around and passed over when it was cake time at birthdays. The red stapler stood for his ownership in his world and his own version of control however little that might have been.

When I received the Stanley Bostitch Dynamo Stapler in the mail the first thing I noticed was the color – RED! The second thing that immediately got my attention was the features included in such a compact stapler, which included:

  • 20 sheet stapling capacity
  • Can hold up to 210 staples
  • Built-in sharpener
  • Built-in staple remover
  • Anti-microbial protection
  • Opens 180 degrees for tacking on walls
  • Curved ergonomic shape
  • Comfort Grip handling
  • Storage can be upright or flat
  • A storage for additional staples (see photo below)

Bostitch Dynamo Stapler RedThe stapler announces on the packaging that it can staple up to 20 sheets, and I am a girl who does not believe anything she reads so I had to put it to the test. I am happy to say that I stapled 20 sheets together numerous times and had an easy, flawless experience with each staple.

Bostitch CollageThis stapler features 70% recycled plastic and has a limited lifetime warranty. The Stanley Bostitch Dynamo Stapler also comes in blue and black in addition to the red I received.

This powerful red stapler is now in my drawer and will get a regular rotation of use. I understand now why Milton was so attached to his red stapler – they are great!

Exergen Temporal Artery Thermometer Review

Let me start by saying that the products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge courtesy of Exergen/Rosica Public Relations . This post may have affiliate links but this in no way will influence the review to follow and all opinions are my own.

Exergen Temporal Artery Thermometer Review and Giveaway

Exergen Temporal Artery ThemometerLife is funny sometimes in that you do not know that you need something until you are without it. This happens many times to young people when they move out for the first time and they realize that the one thing they need their parents have at their house. There are many items that fall under this category but the one I am speaking of specifically now is a thermometer.

I recall the first time that I needed a thermometer but realized I did not have one, I think my temperature was in the 100’s and I was a ton of miserable. It took me a couple of days but I finally ended up at my father’s house to use his – not surprising I went home with one of my own. Flash forward 20 years and I still have these needs and I still find myself without a thermometer, well that is until now.

I recently received a Exergen Temporal Artery Thermometer to review, and I can say that this is the easiest way to take your temperature, or that of a loved one. I received the TAT-2000C model, which is the home version of the thermometer that you often see in hospitals and doctors offices. The thermometer uses the Temporal Artery on your forehead to get a highly accurate temperature. In case you do not know the Temporal Artery, located on the forehead, has a direct connection to the heart via the carotid artery. This artery has a constant blood flow which is needed for an accurate temperature measurement, and is the most convenient and comfortable place to take a temperature.

Mystical Mojo Box Review – August 2015

Mystical Mojo Subscription Box Review and Giveaway

Mystical Mojo Subscription BoxWhenever I hear the word mojo I am brought back to Austin Powers and when he lost his mojo. In the movie it is described as ones life forced, your essence and the right stuff. Mojo is defined in the dictionary as “the art of proactive of casting magic spells, magic and voodoo”.  I like to think of mojo as somewhere in the middle – it is not quite magic, but when you get your own mojo going it can make all the difference in the world to your outlook.

The Mystical Mojo box chooses 3-8 items each month that work together to create a theme. The themes are anything from “Gratitude” to this months theme of “Grounding”. What the theme means is according to the enclosed box “when we are grounded we have a more conscious experience of everyday life, with a higher or more all-rounded awareness”.

I did not know what to expect when I received this 8×8 box in my mailbox, and I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. The first thing I noticed was the postcard manifest that announced this months theme as well as listing the contents of the box. In this months box were various stones, incense, incense burner plate, a cloth and a Crystal Grid pattern for the Grounding ritual. Included in this months box were the following:

Stones from Mystical Mojo Box Continue reading
