Little Debbie’s Holiday 2015 Giveaway

 **Little Debbie Holiday 2015 Giveaway**

I am not going to lie, we are Nutty Bar fans! In Jason and I’s opinion there are few treats better than a frozen Nutty Bar. When I received an email inquiring if I wanted to giveaway a Little Debbie’s Holiday Treat box, I knew it would be the perfect holiday treat! Then I received an email later that stated I would receive a box of my own, and it would include a Holiday themed Nutty Bar and it became clear I had made the right decision.

Taffy Town: Peppermint Taffy Holiday Giveaway

Taffy Town: Peppermint Taffy Holiday 2015 Giveaway!!!

taffytownWhen I was young and my parents divorce was fairly fresh my father and I would spend part of Christmas with close family friends. There is little I remember about this family, other than a few details. The first detail I clearly remember is that they had a long coffee table with drawers with these simple puzzle toys inside. The second thing I remember is falling asleep on their couch and magically waking up in my bed. The third and final thing I remember is taffy. There was a bowl full of peppermint salt water taffy and I remember eating more of it then my dinner. I did not realize it was taffy but rather very sticky candy – I was not a salt water taffy fan but I sure liked this candy.

The Brush Naked Bamboo Toothbrush Holiday Giveaway!!

The Brush Naked Bamboo Toothbrush Holiday Giveaway!!

20150804_224007

Back in August I had the opportunity to review The Brush Naked Toothbrush Company and their toothbrushes. At that time the toothbrushes were made of 100% bamboo and unfortunately due to manufacturing issues the company can no longer guarantee that the bristles are bamboo but instead are now made of a polymer and in the future will be made with a BPA-Free Du-Pont Nylon. While the bristles are not biodegradable, the handle is still made of 100% bamboo and the packaging is still recyclable and compostable.

Safe Catch Tuna Review and Giveaway

Safe Catch TunaAs ones pallet matures and gets more refined minor variations in taste become more obvious. I mention this because there are a couple foods that no matter what, the more you pay the better the product. These type of items are peanut butter, honey, pancake syrup and tuna.

There have been moments in the past (shhh don’t tell Jason) that I have tried to pull the wool over his eyes and bought the lesser versions. Nine times out of ten his refined pallet knows the difference and I am unable to fool him otherwise. Where this becomes obvious in tuna and tuna quality.

Let’s talk for a moment about tuna, quality and mercury. Tuna is notorious for having mercury and because of this tuna is generally not safe for pregnant women – until now! I recently tried a new brand of Wild Albacore tuna and Wild Skipjack Tuna (no longer available on their website) by a company called Safe Catch by Safe Foods.

SuperSeedz: Gourmet Pumpkin Seeds Review

SuperSeedz: Gourmet Pumpkin Seeds Review and GiveawaySuperSeeds Complete Product

If we like it or not fall is coming. With fall comes the annual tradition of carving the pumpkin. The best part of pumpkin carving, at least in my opinion, is the guts that come out of the pumpkin that is recently been slaughtered/carved. While the contents can be wet and goopy at times, there are treasures contained in the web of strings.

The seeds contained in the strings have many uses including being transformed into soup, being baked inside breads, included in trail mix and being baked with various seasonings. I have never been brave enough or confident enough in my abilities to make these myself but have always loved them. Lucky for me there is a company that is taking the wonderfulness of the pumpkin seed and mixing them with some expected and some unexpected spices.

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to sample and review all of SuperSeedz flavors which included Maple Sugar & Sea Salt, Really Naked, Sea Salt, Cinnamon Sugar, Coco Joe, Tomato Italiano, Curious Curry, Somewhat Spicy and Super Spicy. I have given a better description to each below:

Uncle Steve’s Italian Specialties Review and Giveaway

20150315_185337

My mother-in-law comes from an Italian family – the type that has buckets of food and there is no such thing as declining an offer for a meal. My husband has high standards where sauces are concerned and finding a sauce as good as he remembers from his adolescence is nothing short of almost impossible. I, on the other hand grew up on a combination of a homemade version of the store-bought sauces as a base. Needless to say, Jason and I have very different opinions of what makes a good sauce.

In my quest to locate the perfect sauce I reached out to Uncle Steve’s Italian Specialties for a sample of their sauces. They were kind enough to send me 1 jar of each of their Tomato Basil Sauce, Marinara Sauce, Spicy Arrabiata Sauce. Also, included was a branded wooden spoon which I found very neat because I had been wanting a nice quality wooden spoon.

As I creep closer to 40 I find that I have a sensitive tummy much like my father did at my age (darn genetics), and sadly spicy tomato products irritate the condition. Due to the sensitivity issues I have we tested the two non spicy varieties, but I gave the spicy to a friend and they LOVED it! They said that it was spicy without a spicy after taste and was one of the best spicy sauces they have had.

Seponifiq – Bread and Lettuce Sepo Sauce Review and Giveaway!

20150313_174704If you are anything like me you have never tried Sepo sauce. Well that is not entirely true, I recently tried Seponifiq’s Bread and Lettuce Sauce.

The easiest way for me to describe Sepo Sauce, it that it is a bread and lettuce sauce that is packed with flavor. The texture and consistency are similar to thick salad dressing and when refrigerated the consistency is so thick that you can turn the open jar upside down with little to no sauce loss. Once the jar is open, the first thing you smell is a pleasant combination of garlic and mustard. The flavor is reminiscent of a caesar dressing, and tastes of garlic, horseradish with a small back note of vinegar. The sauce is not spicy, and is easy to spread and loaded with possibilities and flavor.

Jackpot Jewelry Candle Review and Giveaway

Jackpot Jewelry Candle – Review and Giveaway

Jackpot CandleRelaxation and I are generally opposing concepts. I have always loved fire and candles, there is something about the way that the fire dances from the wick and burns down as it melts into the wax. If there are relaxation moments in my life this is where you will find them. I find the rhythm of the fire burning almost a religious experience, and nothing makes me quieter or more relaxed.

Since candle burning allows this wonderful form of relaxation,  I am always seeking out fragrant candles, and in my search I discovered Jackpot Candles. The name for Jackpot Candles really comes from the concept itself, each candle contains a piece of jewelry or “jackpot”. The jewelry varies, your choice, from earrings, rings and necklace’s and includes sizes 5, 6, 7, 8 and up to 9. Each candle has a piece of jewelry with a code on it, and if you go to the website and type in the code you will get an approximate value on the piece you received. Each enclosed piece has a value between $15.00 to $5,000.00, and are made of metal alloys and gems.

Organic Dandelion Root Tea by Kiss Me Organics Review

Organic Dandelion Root Tea by Kiss Me Organics Review

Kiss Me Organic Dandelion TeaI love happy colorful flowers and dandelion’s are one of the most colorful and happy flowers there is. Up until recently I just thought that dandelions were pretty flowers but was happily surprised to learn that they also provide many health benefits. I have always been a fan of hot tea, mostly to help ease sore muscles or to help me drift to dreamland so it never really occurred to me that tea could also be so healthy for me and taste good.

I am a person who likes to read the outside boxes of products I purchase (or review) and this tea was no exception. The first thing that got my attention on the box were the health benefits, because as I have said in previous posts, the big birthday is looming this summer. This Organic Dandelion Root Tea supports healthy digestion as well aids in the detoxification of your liver and kidneys.

Organic Dandelion Root TeaThe Organic Dandelion Root Tea comes with 20 individually sealed wrapped tea bags. The first smell that I came across when I opened the box was cinnamon, and as the tea brewed I could smell the cinnamon. There are no instructions on the box in regards to the steeping time, so began with a 4 minutes and then just added time the stronger I wanted it. It ended up with a 5 minutes, 20 second steep time and a nice red color, but again, this is my personal preference. Each packet of tea contains 2 mg of caffeine free, vegan and USDA certified Organic Dandelion Root leaves.
