Send Me Gluten Free Monthly Box Review and Giveaway

Send Me Gluten Free Monthly Subscription Review and Giveaway – April 2015 Box

Send Me Gluten Free April BoxThe one thing I have learned is that you can not stop time. Time marches on no matter what we do and how we wish for things to be slower. I heard once that it is called “the quickening” and the longer time goes I think that is the perfect word for the way life passes by. With the march of time comes the passing of months and the quick arrival of a big day in my life, With each day that passes, I reconsider my food choices and the potential benefits of my new choices.

There is something special about knowing that somebody is curating a box with health consciousness in mind. Send Me Gluten Free’s monthly box is doing just that for the Gluten-Free community. Each month Send Me Gluten Free (SMGF) chooses 8-12 full size items to include in their monthly box, which allow for greater sampling of the available offerings for those with gluten sensitivity. They were generous enough to send me the April box to sample and review and included in the box were the following products.

Skinny Pop PopcornSkinny Pop: I had never tried Skinny Pop Popcorn prior to this sampling. This is a Gluten-Free, Cholesterol free, Non-GMO, and a great Fiber source brand of popcorn. The popcorn had a very faint taste of butter, but overall was unsalted and unflavored and perfect low-calorie snack.

AllergeaseAllergease: This organic honey based lozenge contains many natural ingredients including Eyebright, Nettle, Vitamin C, Elderflower and Plantain. This had a rather strong menthol taste despite there being organic honey included in it as well as menthol.

Alter_Eco NoirAlterEco Chocolate: The chocolate I received was a Mini Dark Noir Organic Chocolate. This was a good chocolate on first taste, but had a slightly bitter aftertaste that I have not had in Dark Chocolates in the past. The best way to describe it was it was a unsweetened chocolate and would have been very tasty with a little more sweetener, but overall a great dark chocolate.

SunButter SampleSunbutter: There were 2 packages of 1.1oz Sunbutter squeeze packs. This is actually a spread made of Sunflower seeds. I am a huge fan of the Sunflower’s, so I love that they have another purpose in life that goes beyond their beauty (a nice overall life message I think). The butter was different than traditional spreads but a wonderful peanut free alternative.

Wholly GochujangWholly Gochujang Sauce: I had never heard of this sauce prior to this boxes arrival. As many readers know, I am still expanding my culinary wings so I loved getting this new sauce to try. My jar came popped opened so I contacted Send Me Gluten Free and they dispatched a replacement out to me from the Wholly Gochujang sauce company.

Level Life BarLevel Life Bar: I received the Chocolate Peanut Crunch flavor bar. The best way to describe this bar was imagine a rice crispy texture with a peanut butter flavor covered in chocolate. It was good, and filled me until the next meal time.

Goodie Girl Sample PacksGoodie Girl Quinoa Chocolate Chunk Cookies: While this is not my 1st experience with Goodie Girl Cookies, I felt like it was. I love that Goodie Girl makes these smaller bags of their Chocolate Chunk Cookies to pack into lunches (I packed them in my husbands lunch this past week as a surprise!). These are some of the best cookies I have had, gluten-free or otherwise.

SuperSeedz Coco JoeSuperSeedz: I received these in the Coco Joe flavor and these were pumpkin seeds that are drizzled in dark chocolate. They were not bad and just like you would imagine pumpkin seeds covered in coffee and chocolate. These has a good crunch and flavor, which resembled a faint coffee taste.

SMGF CouponsAlso, included was a bunch of coupons which includes a $10.00 off coupon code for Urban Remedy, a $1.00 off coupon for any flavor of Qrunch Burgers or Toastables, $1.00 off a jar Sunbutter, and a Free coupon for any Minute Rice product.

Monthly subscriptions are $19.85/month, $18.85/month – 3 month membership, $16.95/month – 6 month membership, $14.85/month – 12 months membership with an additional $5.00 shipping each month. They currently ship to United States, Alaska, Hawaii and Canada for an additional $3.99.

3B – note that if you buy a home with Eifus and ever need to recltaoe for a job, the relo company will not buy your home. Risk of mold is too great. Real stucco is not an issue.
