Sauce Goddess: Salted Caramel Corn Review and Giveaway

Sauce Goddess PopcornWe are approaching one of my food related favorite times of the year. This is because this is when caramel popcorn become abundant in stores, online and most importantly, in my life. I love the tins that the popcorn’s comes in this time of year and have begun amassing a collection of these additional storage spaces.

I have long thought it would be great to twist the caramel with spices and create a more savory popcorn. I am happy to say that I am not alone in my wishes and have come upon that savory caramel popcorn that my taste buds desire – Sauce Goddess Salted Caramel Corn.

My original introduction to Sauce Goddess was back in September of this year when I did a review of their sauces and spices – see review here. I will tell you that I loved the sauce then and still do – it is seriously delicious on vanilla ice cream! I recently contacted Sauce Goddess about a holiday giveaway and not only were they on board they sent us their salted caramel corn to sample. Sauce Goddess has 3 varieties available in 3.5 oz packages varying in heat intensity and include Devils Bite Salted Caramel Corn, Moroccan Twist Salted Caramel Corn and Sweet Heat Salted Caramel Corn.

All 3 flavors of Sauce Goddess Caramel PopcornSince the flavors varied in intensity I decided to begin with what I perceived would be the hottest, the Devils Bite Salted Caramel Corn. I was correct in my assumption in that the Devils Bite would be the most intense heat wise. This was really tasty flavor that’s real kick comes at the end in a nice final punch with each kernel. The second flavor I sampled was the Moroccan Twist Salted Caramel Corn. I was eager to try this flavor because my brother-in-law is French-Moroccan and I know my nieces and nephews are familiar with Moroccan flavor but I am not. I did not note a lot of heat, and it reminded me of a curry flavor. This was a wonderful flavor and I plan to recommend it my sister-in-law for a nice stocking stuffer for her family. The final flavor I sampled was the Sweet Heat Salted Caramel Corn, and the one I was most eager to sample. I loved the sauce of the previous review and had a suspicion I would love this since it is based one of their sauces and I was correct. This was a nice savory popcorn that Jason and I went to war over. We finally settled on that he could take the previous, and spicier 2 bags to work, and the Sweet Heat stays home with me – for as long as it was going to last.

Sauce Goddess is small female owned business in San Diego. The company started in 2001 with 2 sauces and has grown into a national sauce company. The company tagline is “If you don’t lick your fingers, someone else will” and nothing could be more appropriate. I do not think it is possible to consume Sauce Goddess and NOT lick your fingers – such good sauces, spices and now salted caramel corn. If you have not tried any of Sauce Goddess products, please give them a try – I know you will love it!

my fave popcorn flavor is not one they sell but I like to sprinkle my popcorn with garlic powder and dip in salsa. If I chose a flavor here I would say cheese.
