Each 24 hour period, we take time to rest and recharge our batteries by sleeping. Our bodies use this time to rest, and replenish it’s resources, and helps fight off illnesses – sleep is important.

Nick’s Stick’s – Fill Your Basket With Sticks Giveaway – Spring 2017 –

As we approach the Spring Holiday of Easter the talk of baskets comes into the stores and into our conversations. When I was young I would look forward to the basket filled with snacks, treats and of course a stuffed bunny.

Now that I am older, I tend to shy away from the candy and treats and like my baskets filled with more savory items. One item that I will be putting in my husband’s baskets this year is a pack of meat sticks from Nick’s Stick’s!

WOWBUTTER Review

WOWBUTTER Review and Giveaway

When I recently attended the Gluten Free + Allergen Friendly Expo I was on a search. I was looking for alternatives to my beloved peanut butter. Despite loving peanut butter & Jelly sandwiches, I have found that I end up with severe re-flux a couple of hours after eating.

In the past I have tried different nut butters, and have found a couple I really like. Since I am a fan of different types of foods and tend to go a phase eating only one particular type, it is always better to have more options available to me.

As I mentioned, when I went to the expo, I as on a search for peanut butter alternatives. As luck would have it, I had a sample in my bag from a company called WOWBUTTER. As I tried this sample I was amazed how much it tasted like a high quality peanut butter.

Gotcha! The Adoption Story of Maggee and Murfee

Gotcha! Finding a Forever Home: Murfee and Maggee

There is no doubt that we love our cats and are often asked how Murfee and Maggee entered our lives.

The story is simple and started years earlier with an agreement. When Jason and I began dating we agreed that someday we would adopt a cat (or two) when we would purchase a home and not have roommates. Flash forward to a couple of years later and we were in the middle of making an offer on our first house. We decided that if our offer was accepted we would start looking for a cat to join our lives. We scoured the shelter site, and waited until we moved in the house, but not quite settled. Once we adopted Murfee we knew he needed a buddy, and that brought Maggee into our lives.

Zotos Professional: 180PRO Color Remedy Review + Giveaway

I have mentioned in the past that I am lucky that overall, my hair over the years has remained undamaged. Despite my constant drastic coloring changes when I was young, my hair looks good today.

As I age, I have seen more grey hairs, and sadly I have quite the streak in the front left side of my head. Whenever I see a grey now, I make a mental note and make sure to cover it up when I do my hair coloring’s.

Paper Pumpkin: February 2017 Kit Review

Paper Pumpkin – Another Great Year – February 2017 Kit Review + Giveaway

My entire life there is one thing that I enjoy doing – making and writing up invitations for parties. Truth be told sometimes I would have a party just so I could make invitations.

When my husband and I celebrated our marriage I went with an ocean theme since we live near the ocean and it was in the middle of summer. I made invitations with a beach and coastal themed and my thank you cards were vellum over a fish in ocean theme. The result was an invitation and thank you set that left an impression, and was unique.

As my birthday is approaching, well if you consider 5 months approaching, and I am already thinking about a party. Truth be told since it is an off year birthday (42) I had not planned on commemorating it, but when I saw the February 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit “Many Happy Birthdays” the party invitation adrenaline began.

Eat Dutch Waffles: 3 Flavors Review

Eat Dutch Waffles: Traditional, Honey Vanilla and Blueberry Review + Giveaway

One of our favorite things to make and eat are waffles. The reason is that waffles are as delicious as they are versatile. Waffles can be eaten with everything from syrup, to chicken, and can be breakfast to dessert.

The other great thing about waffles is that with their versatility comes variations. One variation of waffles are the Dutch Stroopwaffel. The Stroopwaffel is a waffle cookie that is chewy, and syrup flavored.

When I first began blogging I reviewed a Stroopwaffel sample. Ever since that experience I have been a fan of these chewier variations of the waffles we love. I recently came across a company that originated in the Netherlands, and by the travels of a student, has expanded into the United States. The company, Eat Dutch Waffles sent me some of their Stroopwaffel’s for review.

Dr. Jacobs Naturals: Eucalyptus Castile Liquid Soap Review

Dr. Jacobs Naturals: Eucalyptus Castile Liquid Soaps – Review + Giveaway

I have mentioned in the past that one of my favorite soaps to use is castile soap. The reason for this is that it is one of the most gentle soaps while remaining the most versatile and adaptable soaps on the market.

As I have gotten older I have seen the need products that are pure and simple. When I was young I loved things that smelled good, and really did not care about the product much further than that. Even when it came to my dog, it was my goal to make him smell good. As I have aged, I have learned what the good smelling things can actually do to your skin,

As I said above, castile soap is versatile and simple. Last year I came across a company called Dr. Jacob Naturals and their line of castile based soaps. I recently reviewed their set of exfoliating bar soaps and received a couple of samples of their liquid soaps. As I was washing my hands that night, I began wondering how this would do in other applications and was eager to give it a try.
