Ozeri – Turtlemeter Review and Giveaway
When I was a little girl, one of my favorite times was bath time. I remember having toys, being able to splash around and having a great time. During this magical time I do not remember it being a chore, but rather a fun time for me. As I aged, my love of baths went from the playtime to the relaxation time.
Unfortunately due to the size restrictions I am unable to take a bath til my heart’s desire. I do get the occasional treat at my in-laws house or my father’s house but it is not often enough to qualify as realization to any level. I have always wondered about water temperature and what is acceptable for skin and safety. .
Ozeri is a specialty manufacturer of digital lifestyle products of the modern homes, and I was recently sent their Turtlemeter by Ozeri for review.
The Turtlemeter by Ozeri features a LCD display that displays the temperature of a bathtub of water in real-time. This Turtlemeter uses 3 different lights on the display to give a visual cue to the water temperature as well as an LCD read out of the water temperature.

This combination bath toy and thermometer displays the temperature with colors and digital read out. The first color is a blue which will illuminate when the temperature is below 95 degrees. The red color is displayed when the water temperature is greater that 102.2 degrees. The ideal temperature is green and is displayed when the temperature is between 95.1 and 102.1 degrees.
I really liked the color coding and the association for red and blue and hot and cold. I have to say I liked the green when the temperature was safe for entry. The reading was instant and adjusted as the sensors got the correct temperature reading. A bonus for kids, not only does this float but it is completely submersible into water and has no buttons or switches to worry about and is BPA-Free.
While my life is mostly based on showers and efficiency more than relaxation it still is nice to know what the temperature of the water is. I think it is important to note that if you are using this to bath a baby or toddler, use common sense along with this thermometer. If your instinct says something is too hot than it probably is. My advice is to use discretion and common sense.
This would be a PERFECT bath tub toy that is good for kids yet is cute enough to add to any turtle collection you might have. I plan to put this little guy in my bathroom as a decoration and as a reminder to take a moment to myself when possible.
