Daydreams & Doodles Coloring BookSome days when I am having writers block I will take a walk to the beach, grab a towel sit and daydream.

A daydream is typically defined as a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one’s attention from the present. When struck with writer’s block there is no better way to let my brain run free and let inspiration hit me. I love seeing where my brain takes me when I let it take my on an adventure.

When I received a copy of Daydreams and Doodles: Flowers, Birds and Insects by Kat Ford I saw an easy way to daydream and not leave my house.

Daydreams and Doodles: Flowers, Birds and Insects by Kat Ford is a wonderful journey of flowers, birds and insects that are hand drawn whimsical black and white images.

The most unique thing about this books is that on each page is blank on the back-side with a description and place for the signature of the artist. This makes this good for signing your masterpiece, of which you have over 55 images to color. Each image has a nice combination of solid lines to thin lines and have images of flowers, insects and birds.

If you want to remove the pages note that the book is bound much like a traditional bound book. This means that you should take care when removing the pages as you will end up with jagged edges. The easiest thing is to be cautious when tearing or removing the page or use a cutting device such as scissors or a craft knife to get the page out. The images are close to the edge so many of the pages cut close to the binding so take extra care when removing pages.

The paper in the book is a high-quality and looks nice after being colored. I would put a piece of paper in between pages so you do not have bleed-though to the other pages.

I really enjoyed everything about this book from the title to the images, and find myself loving each page I color. This is a great book and I can not wait to see future books from Kat Ford.
